A small house in Poventa with a beautiful pool, a bocce court, and a wood-burning stove

Villa La Poventa stands amid rolling hills dotted with olive trees. A short 15-minute walk takes you to a butcher shop, a mini-market, a café, and a pharmacy. The fully fenced property consists of a two-story main farmhouse nestled in an olive grove of 100 trees, which also features a beautiful garden with a lawn and a swimming pool set among centuries-old olive trees. The winter garden features a dining and relaxation area ideal for all seasons, with sliding glass doors and a splendid view of the surrounding nature. The farmhouse is laid out as follows: a large dining room with a solid-wood table, a well-stocked library of English-language books, and a spacious living room with a fireplace, sofa, ceiling fan, and mini-fridge. The kitchen features a central island with semi-professional appliances, including an oven, an American-style refrigerator, a dishwasher, an espresso machine, and a microwave. The main building contains 5 bedrooms (one with a French-style bed) and 5 bathrooms adjoining the bedrooms. Available to guests: an old wood-fired oven for large pizzas with a work surface, sink, and a barbecue with an 80-cm grill. A fully equipped laundry room with a washing machine, sink, ironing board, and iron. The garden and parking area are illuminated by twilight-sensor lights; there is a large swimming pool (12 meters x 6) with a diving board, Roman steps, and a fountain, offering a picturesque view of Cortona. A shaded wrought-iron gazebo, a solar-heated outdoor shower with hot and cold water, and poolside loungers and deck chairs are provided. Ample covered parking and an additional pergola with a large travertine table overlooking Cortona. A sun terrace with a built-in table overlooking Cortona. And for sports enthusiasts: a concrete ping-pong table shaded by passionflower vines and equipped with lighting, a shaded bocce court, a pool table, a game table with a chess set, and 3 bicycles. For the little ones, there’s a slide and a two-seater swing.<br>051017LTI0036
