This is a beautiful villa in a lovely quiet spot. It also is big enough to accommodate an extended family of 11.The views are superb, the swimming pool excellent and the host really accommodating and friendly. Thoroughly recommend.

A group of friends stayed and enjoyed the warmth & friendliness of the hosts & their wine gathering.We knew it was set way out of the main towns but the location & views were superb.We were a little caught out not having soap dispensers in the showers & had to drive out to get some, but aside from that, very enjoyable stay.

Family holiday

A large spacious, well equipped house with wonderful views of the beautiful surrounding countryside. The only criticism would be, had we been more than 8, there was not a suitable dining table. Otherwise it was perfect.

Family meeting spot

This property is excellent if you have many family members or friends sharing a house. There were 10 of us (5 couples) and we each had our own room with bathroom. The common areas and outdoor sitting areas were spacious. The views are amazing! It is located at a vineyard and Fernanda and her family shared their wine and invited us to watch them harvest and make the wine. Fernanda is an excellent host.

Great stay

We were really welcomed and looked after at the property in the most beautiful setting. We wondered what there was to do but the train to Porto and Pinhão was at the bottom of the road, there were great walks, hotel for cocktails, great local coffee shop every morning and a lovely local restaurant. The pool was great and we had sole use but it wasn’t directly at the property, a short walk across the vineyard which is worth bearing in mind if you have small children or mobility issues. There were also dogs around, which we loved and they made our dog so happy. Highly recommend.

The property itself is fantastic. All bedrooms spacious and en suite. The industrial kitchen made cooking very easy. The views are amazing, we enjoyed eating outside with the panoramic of the valley. There are fruit trees sorounding the villa and a very short walk to the lovely pool through a vineyard. Fernanda who lives in the adjacent house and takes care of the property was just a message away when we had queries and she was very helpful and warm. We really wnjoyed the Amarante water park, the train from Aregos station down the Douro Valley, and kayaking and swimming in the Douro. The were only 3 problems for us: barking dogs throughout the night affected our sleep; flashing from the fire alarms in the bedrooms affected sleep as well, and the remote nature of the villa meant that the drive to go anywhere was often on scary narrow mountain roads.
