Sunderland Royal Hospital is just a short walk away, making it ideal for visiting family members, healthcare professionals, and contractors. Pallion Shopping Centre is nearby for everyday essentials, while Sunderland city centre is easily accessible by foot, bus, Metro, or car.

For football fans and concert-goers, the Stadium of Light is just 2.1 miles away and can be reached in around 10 minutes via the Metro. Guests attending performances at the Sunderland Empire Theatre will also find the cottage a convenient and affordable alternative to city-centre hotels.

My name is Laura, and together with my family I run JLH Property Ltd, a small family business providing accommodation across Sunderland and Cumbria.

I have always loved hospitality and creating welcoming spaces where people can relax, switch off, and enjoy time away from everyday life. Whether guests are visiting for a holiday, family celebration, work, or simply a change of scenery, I believe where you stay can make all the difference.

What I enjoy most about hosting is helping guests discover places that mean so much to us. From recommending local walks, restaurants, and hidden gems to ensuring everything is prepared for your arrival, I genuinely want every guest to have a memorable stay.

Little Apple Cottage holds a special place in our hearts. We fell in love with Appleby because of its beautiful scenery, friendly community, historic character, and slower pace of life. There's something special about exploring the countryside, enjoying a meal in a local pub, or relaxing in the hot tub after a day of adventure.

When we're not hosting, we enjoy spending time as a family, travelling, exploring the North East and Cumbria, and continually improving our properties to make them even better for our guests.

As a family-run business, we understand the importance of personal service. We aim to provide a seamless experience from booking through to departure while being available if you need assistance or local recommendations during your stay.
