TORREGRANDE BEACH ORISTANO

The village of Torregrande is also inhabited in winter and has around 400 inhabitants. It is located inside the gulf, in front of the remains of the Phoenician city of Tharros which you see in front of you in the photo. The beach is beautiful, very large and flat, easily accessible. The sea never deceives you because it is deep for the length of 2 or 3 km in the same way You learn for the first time what it is like in a point and you know that it does not change. Never a stone to hit and get hurt. The village has everything you need to never go away. However, if you want, you can choose every day and a few minutes' drive away you will find characteristic beaches outside the gulf, e.g. Is arutas with quartz sand, then Mariermi, San Giovanni, Putzuidu etc.
5 km away you will find Oristano which is a city worth visiting. A thousand meters away is Cabras, the city of mullet bottarga, which is caught in its large pond which you recognize from the map of Sardinia because it has the shape of a duck. In Cabras you will also find the museum of the giants of Monte and Prama, a recent discovery of very ancient sandstone statues probably linked to the Nuragic civilization. Just 30 km away on the highway you can visit the Losa nuraghe, very well preserved and perhaps the largest. At Fordongianus, 20 km away, you will find the remains of the Roman baths with the spring from which boiling water flows: access is free and you can stop there for a snack on one side of the bank of the Tirso river, 10 meters away from the Roman baths. The apartment we offer you consists of a living room, plus hallway, bathroom, double bedroom, plus a cot, plus a front veranda and one at the back equipped with a washing machine and drying rack.
It is ideal for two adults, but we have comfortable camp beds that we can add. The apartment is 10 years old but is like new, air conditioned, but from the south veranda you can enjoy the sea breeze. The apartment is close to the beach but also close to the center of Torregrande, in the square of the Aragonese tower where there are all the services: market, bars, restaurants, tobacconists, pharmacy, ATM, bus every half hour to Oristano, etc. You are close to the major Sardinian roads to easily reach both the north and south of Sardinia, about a hundred km away with little traffic you reach Sassari, about a hundred km away you reach Cagliari. The house we offer you essentially allows you to choose what you want to do, rest, relax or visit other realities or choose every day.
