Porto vacation

Great location, very clean, great view from 5th floor balcony, 5 minute walk to Douro River. 1 block from huge wine/food market. Loved it.

Our experience at this apartment in Porto was extremely disappointing. Although the unit is on the 6th floor and technically has an elevator, you must first climb two full flights of stairs just to reach it. This wasn’t mentioned beforehand and made arriving with luggage and kids quite difficult. The managing company also failed to provide entry codes or keys ahead of time. Instead, we had to walk 10–15 minutes to their office to pick them up. We were told someone would meet us with the keys at the apartment, but that never happened. When we finally entered the apartment, we were hit with a terrible smell. At first, we thought it was coming from outside, but we soon realized the odor was coming from the tiny bathroom. A sewage pipe was broken, and it was causing a constant, overwhelming stench. We contacted the management company immediately, and while they said it would be addressed, nothing was done. By the second day, the smell had become unbearable—completely unhealthy and unhygienic. We asked for help or a different apartment, but the company simply told us we could leave and they wouldn't charge us for the second night. This was around 8 p.m., when most places were already closing. It was unrealistic and stressful to expect us to find another place that late with children. Only after pushing the issue did they finally send someone to inspect, and the technician discovered the sewage pipe was actually pulling up trash instead of draining properly. C’est très centralisé. Les photos sont bonnes. Lits confos, oreillers par contre pas terribles.Toilettes sentait pas bon, l’urine.Sécuritaire, ascenseur, assez bruyant mais probablement pas autant qu’au bord de l’eau.

Le logement est très bien situé, parfait pour visiter Porto à pied. Il était propre, bien équipé, et l’accueil par la conciergerie s’est très bien passé. Nous avons également apprécié les petites attentions comme le café et le thé à disposition.En revanche, l’accès avant l’ascenseur comporte plusieurs escaliers, ce qui peut être contraignant avec des bagages. L’isolation est moyenne, la fenêtre ferme mal, laissant passer le bruit et des moustiques. Le réglage de la température chauffage / clim est pas évident.

Logement très bien situé près du métro, du marché et du centre ville; nous avons tout pu faire à pieds durant notre bref séjour. La vue est dégagée et porte loin, on voit même la cathédrale.Mais l'appartement est extrèmement exigu et la chambre avec lit double est en fait une véranda convertie en chambre, avec deux parois vitrées et non des vrais murs. Elle donne plein sud, mais il n'y a que de légers stores enroulants à l'intérieur pour se protéger de la chaleur. Heureusement que la canicule était finie, sinon cela aurait été intenable! La cuisine est si minimaliste qu'on n'a pas envie de cuisiner. Bref, adapté pour un séjour très court seulement.

Posizione ottima, vicina alla metro e alla zona dello shopping, ma non particolarmente rumoroso. Zona tranquilla anche la sera. La nota negativa è che è esposto al sole tutto il giorno, con infissi molto sottili, quindi nella stagione calda, i condizionatori devono stare accesi sempre per avere una temperatura decente...anche di notte. Inoltre, prima di mezzogiorno non c'è possibilità neanche di lasciare i bagagli L'appartamento è molto piccolo, per un soggiorno di 3/4 giorni, va più che bene. Host gentile.

Ci dispiace per i disagi causati dall’esposizione al sole, dagli infissi sottili e dalla necessità di tenere i condizionatori accesi, così come per la mancanza di un servizio di deposito bagagli prima di mezzogiorno.
