Spacious villa in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Casa Castelo. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the bedrooms were comfortable and well arranged. The outdoor area was a highlight, especially the pool and barbecue area. The games room was perfect for some friendly competition, and the proximity to the beach, restaurants and bars made the location even better.

The games room was also a great addition and provided plenty of entertainment. The location near Praia do Castelo was excellent.

My expectations were too high. Poorly cleaned as we arrived, swimming pool in reality wasn’t looking as nice as on photos, broken tiles, poorly maintained (no one came to check it as promised), internet speed was so slow we could not even use it (I had to work few days online and max speed was 2.5 Mbps), broken window to one of the bathrooms (no indication or warning about that). We had to make it a great time there, but removing previous occupant hair from showers and collecting broken glass near the pool was not a pleasant thing to do.I would NOT recommend this place at all. The only positive thing was a pretty short walk to the beaches and enough space for 11 people.

With Family!

Gorgeous villa home from home everything we needed was there had a lovely time very quiet location but near enough to walk to the beach and restaurants which we did every day we had the pool heated and that was a great bonus. The whole expereince was made so easy by the support of Martin, he organized the boat tour and the fantastic meal at allgarbe restaurant. Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic Villa!

The house was much bigger than I expected and had plenty of room for our group, not to mentioned plenty of full bathrooms, which is always a plus. The house had a ping pong table and foosball table downstairs and overall the house was pretty clean. Olivia was so great to work with and extremely responsive. Martin was such a great help in planning tours and stocking the Villa with a few groceries per our special request. The Villa was easily walkable to the beach, including a few beach bars and great restaurants up the street and only 10-15 minute Uber to old town.

Our family vacation was truly exceptional

The villa's prime location allowed us to walk to the beautiful Castelo Beach, adding a touch of convenience to our stay. The spacious interior provided ample room for our family, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The highlight for our kids was undoubtedly the pool and the added bonus of a ping pong table. These amenities kept them entertained and added an extra layer of enjoyment to our days at the villa. The combination of relaxation and entertainment made it a perfect family getaway. Having a car to explore the surrounding region was a game-changer. We could easily venture out to discover nearby attractions, making the most of our time in this picturesque area. It truly exceeded our expectations and contributed to a memorable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended for families looking for a well-rounded holiday experience.

Weekend stay

Stayed here for 3 nights, 10 lads aged between 30 and 45. Excellent communication with Olivia from algarve vacation the whole way through, she always replied with the information I asked. The villa is ok and we had a great stay, the villa is a bit dated and could do with some TLC in some parts. The villa was clean and big enough for 10 lads, overall for a weekend it was all we needed. The location is ideal if you want to stay out the way of the nightlife, the old town in a uber is only 10-15 away. The beach in only a 10 minute walk with a nice little restaurant over looking the beach. The check in could be a little earlier than 4pm as we landed at 0920am and had to wait around, the check in process was easy enough and we used the luggage hold for 10 euros each. The damage deposit took a little longer than expected to be sent back, just over 2 weeks but wasn’t a problem. I would use algarve vacation again.

Nice aesthetic but lots of problems and no support!

Nice villa but if you have any issues once you arrive don’t hold your breath...Checked in without issue, nice kitchen/living room, lots of outdoor seating on patio and by pool, 2nd floor has 2 beautiful bedrooms with twin beds, balconies w/ocean views, and spacious bathrooms. 1st fl had a bedroom with a double bed, balcony overlooking pool, bathroom down the hall. 4th bedroom is in the musty basement with a double bed, two bunk beds, Very small bathroom, single stall shower, poor lighting. Double bed in basement was really uncomfortable. 1st-floor bedroom is nicer but the air conditioner leaked water and could not be used. The sink in the first-floor bathroom didn’t drain. The wifi didn’t work despite multiple inquiries, never got support other than “try to unplug the router.” Day 2 we reached out to VRBO with concerns (air conditioner, bed and sink). They stopped responding after sending message that “This property has been part of our portfolio for several years, and we have never received any complaints...” Hard to understand how our concerns were invalidated because no one had allegedly complained before. The air conditioner was never addressed, the Wifi never worked and my husband and I slept in the bunk beds. We paid for the pool to be heated for 5 days - heater stopped working after 2 days - nobody was willing to investigate or acknowledge the issue. I heard from VRBO 5 days after returning home, 8 days after I had last heard from them, with an A/C repair update.
