Town: Tarvin is a bustling village just 6 miles from historic Chester. Tarvin boasts several shops, good pubs serving food and a wine bar bistro. Nearby Delamere Forest and Manley Mere offer activities for those who enjoy more of the outdoor life. Chester has been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England' - Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a small area there is evidence of every period of history; from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed town houses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture.
