Vacations in Funchal, sea view - Casa Strelitzia I

Casa Strelitzia is a traditional Madeira house in the parish of Santa Maria Maior, Funchal’s Old Town, within walking distance of the Central Market and Promenade do Porto. One of the few holiday properties in this central and prestigious area, it is split over two floors: the first floor sleeps up to 6 people, and the studio above sleeps 2. Booked together, the property accommodates 8 guests—ideal for celebrating Madeira’s famous New Year’s Eve fireworks.

Each flat has a balcony with sea views, free WiFi, satellite TV, a comfortable sofa, dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, utensils). Private bathrooms include a shower, hairdryer, toiletries, bed linen, and towels. The 24-hour reception, run by An Island Apart, is available for assistance.

The shared courtyard features a table and chairs, a volcanic stone BBQ, washing machine, dryer, and access to a secure basement garage (one parking space per apartment).

With views of the city, Casa Strelitzia is situated in Funchal. Popular points of interest near the holiday home include Funchal Marina, São Tiago Fort and Funchal Cathedral. Cristiano Ronaldo Madeira International Airport is 18 km from Casa Strelitzia by An Island Apart, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.
If you choose to go to the centre of Funchal, take the opportunity to explore the city, visit the Mercado de Lavradores and sample Madeiran cuisine in the typical restaurants.

PROPERTY RULES
To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules.

• Smoking is not permitted inside the property. A fine of €300 will be charged for non-compliance.
• Parties or events are not permitted.
• Pets are not permitted.
• Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night.

The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, a member of our team may contact you. You are not permitted to disable, cover or tamper this or any other equipment installed on the property.

In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration purposes.

Municipal tourist tax (when applicable):
€2.00 per person/night for guests aged 13 and above, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). A payment link will be sent prior to arrival.

Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If it is not arranged at least 48 hours beforehand, check-in will be subject to our team’s availability.

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge.

By confirming your reservation, all guests agree to our house rules and accommodation conditions.

OTHER NOTES
All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide, free of charge, a baby travel crib, high chair and baby bath upon request before check-in. Requests made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to an additional fee. All properties are equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket.
For stays of 8 nights or more, a mid-stay service is provided, including the replenishment of bed linen, towels and consumables only. This service is not included for shorter stays. Additional cleaning services during your stay are available on request at an extra charge.
