Not a good start! But it only got worse!
The person who met us was unfamiliar with the property and the peculiarities of the lift! The WiFi wasn’t working and there was a leak from the boiler in the en-suit bedroom. The oven didn't"work correctly neither did the extractor fan/light and a couple of ceiling spot lights were not functioning. The windows leak when it rains in the en -suit, also In the other bedroom, the bed was so close to the storage unit that only the drawers could be used. The cupboards could not be opened more than a few inches due to the proximity of the bed. The bed linen was of very poor quality, not particularly clean and quite thin. Apart from the plates, all other crockery were mismatched, as were the glasses and cutlery. We have stayed at over 20 holiday lettings and so we know what is and is not value for money. This particular letting is overpriced. Most worrying was the notice by the lift in the lower entrance…. “This is a Residential Community Property. Tourist rentals are prohibited against the law. Those who break the law are denounced by the community.” I would like someone from Vrbo to contact me so that I can explain in more detail the numerous problems. This is the first time that we have used Vrbo but we are frequent t have rented fextensively for many years and in various parts of the world, including America, Australia and New Zealand. I take no pleasure whatsoever in giving such a poor review but I feel strongly that Vrbo has no idea how poor this letting really is!
