Market Quarters is a recently refurbished holiday home located in the centre of Whitby. Surrounded by restaurants, cafes and shops, this beautiful cottage is perfect for exploring the town and the rest of the North Yorkshire coast. Sleeping up to 6 guests, the property is perfect for family staycations and getaways with friends. Welcoming one well behaved dog, Market Quarters has everything you could want for a stay by the sea.

Due to the nature of this character property, it has three floors with steep narrow staircases which may not be suitable for those less physically able. Please note the cottage is family friendly but access may not be suitable for a pushchair. Whitby Boutique are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver.

The house is lovely, clean , comfortable and quality furnishings. In an amazing location. The only criticisms are no hangers, maybe 2 keys. We had a lovely stay and would have no hesitation to stay again. Thank you

A dreamy spring stay!

One word to summarise our stay in this beautiful accomodation…FABULOUS! The location is perfect as in and amongst the fabulous atmosphere of Whitby, with delightful shops, and coffee stops on your doorstep. The interior is modern, stylish and homely all at the same time. We were welcomed with a space that was immaculately clean, and instantly made you feel at home. We were already planning our return trip before we had left! Thank you again for an amazing and memorable stay!

This is an edited version of what I sent directly to the host. I was entirely unable to reach them throughout our stay or after. We had several issues with the property.1. Safety- The sliding door on the main bedroom came off its track, nearly injuring a careful adult on first use. The child bedroom window opens at easy climbing height with no guard on it. With only one key, if some members of the group are leaving the home and others staying, options are to lock people in with no way out in case of emergency. Or, shout and pound loudly from the street upon return. This is a challenge because of the noisiness of the area and vertical setup of the home. 2. The place was not clean. There was a thick layer of dust on most surfaces and in the corners of each room, and many of the kitchen items needed to be rewashed before using them. Given the 100 cleaning fee, I would expect better3. There are no instructions on the use of anything and much of it is unintuitive. We never figured out the hob.4. The area is noisy with several pubs and generally unsuitable for those with children or who prefer an earlier bedtime and some quiet.5. The advertised "canoe/kayak" or "boat" and "pool table" do not exist.

Situated a stone throw away from the famous Abbey Wharf, its incredible location makes it the perfect hassle free getaway. The streets are a labyrinth of cobbles and maze like alleys leading to picturesque harbour thats rich with history. Market Quarters is a truly remarkable and historical building boasting amazing views from most rooms of the Marketplace The holiday home consists of 3 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine and air fryer, and 1 bathroom with a shower and free standing Bath and free toiletries. Towels and bed linen are featured in the holiday home. Listed further out amenities: Peasholm Park 18.6 miles The Spa Scarborough 20.5 miles Flamingo Land 25.5 miles Dalby Forest 20.5 miles Teesside International Airport 42.9 miles
