Beautiful house in quiet area within walking distance of the center of Canelli

The large house, located in a quiet residential area but still close to the center, is an ideal place for a nice holiday. Both inside and outside it is wonderful to stay. The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds and have good mattresses and pillows. The spacious and attractive bathroom has recently been renovated and equipped with a spacious shower. In addition, the house has a separate toilet room. In the spacious, charming kitchen, which is equipped with the necessary appliances, you can cook and eat deliciously. Canelli is a town located in the Italian region of Piedmont, in the province of Asti. The city is located on the river Belbo, right on the border of the regions of Langhe and the hilly area of Asti. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Every Tuesday and Friday morning there is a market in the cosy centre, where you can buy fresh local products. People from the area like to come here to do their shopping. This provides a nice ambiance. You can enjoy this from the various terraces.

We would like to recommend a visit to the underground wine cellars, also known as underground cathedrals. These are also listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The vineyards in the area are sure worth to pay a visit. Tasting of the most beautiful wines is easily arranged. In addition, there are many restaurants where you can enjoy delicious food. A detailed recommendation of them can be found in the house. A nice day trip can be made to the large cities of Turin, Milan and Genoa. These cities are easily accessible by car. But there are also many smaller towns in the area that are very worth to visit like; Asti, Acqui Terme, Alba or Nizza Monferrato. When you’re looking for refreshment you can take a dip in Canelli's beautiful swimming pool. It has a fantastic view on the vineyards and a small restaurant with delicious simple meals.

In the months of September, October and November there are many wine and food festivals after the harvesting of the grapes in Piedmont. All cities offer weekends or weeks spread over these months where the wines of the region are presented by wineries. Of course, these wines can then be tasted and purchased. Every year in October and November in Alba there is the very famous truffle fair (Fiera del Tartufo). Close to the holiday home is a truffle farm within walking distance. Here you can go truffle hunting on request, together with an experienced hunter and trained dog.
