Honeymoon trip!

We booked this cute place to spend a week in for our honeymoon! It was close enough to town that it took a short amount of time to get there and far enough away that it really felt peaceful. It was exactly what we needed it to be! Richard was also very helpful and made sure we knew he was available if we needed anything! We felt very safe and had a great experience here!

A Cautionary Warning If You Choose To Stay Here

While our host was very gracious during our stay and we liked the location, be sure to take pictures/videos of the unit both when you arrive and when you leave so that you don’t get victimized like we were. It was alleged that we had damaged the property by somehow making small burn marks to the carpet in front of the couch. The description and photos sent could not have been caused by us and had not been observed while we were there, but the unit was dark and the carpet older and a dark wine color. Fortunately, we had taken out insurance but were distressed that a false claim could not be disputed. We do not smoke and nothing was set on the carpet in front of the couch other than our feet. Additionally, the owner said he believed us and would contact the insurance company after he made the report. Apparently he did not, as they paid the claim. Pros: Location is quiet and about 15 minutes from Jackson. Host left nice food in the refrigerator and freezer for our use. Host was very gracious while we were there. The unit had a washer dryer and a dishwasher. Cons: No cell service at all with our carrier and no working internet on our computer even though it would connect with the password. Both the stovetop and oven set off the fire alarm on three consecutive days until we started leaving the front door and the only two windows with screens open while we cooked. (There were no spills in the oven). Unit was rustic and very dark with no windows in the bedroom.

Perfect

The property was perfect. Tucked just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Jackson, Richard's guest unit is the ideal quiet and relaxing space to unwind. Great deck and it was perfect location to take my dogs on long walks before and after work. Richard was kind, proactive in communication, super sweet to my dogs and even stocked the fridge with some goodies prior to my arrival. There is something wonderful about someone who not only provides coffee but also real creamer in the fridge and sugar. And the bottle of wine in the fridge was such a kind welcome. And good products in the shower. The unit was stocked with really thoughtful touches that made me feel like I was staying with friends rather than a vrbo. I look forward to staying here again!

Great host/cabin

Richard was fantastic and the apartment was perfect for my son and I. Location is outside of the hustle of downtown Jackson but close to everything you could want in the area. We will stay here again.

Summer get away

Had a great time. Nice to be out of town, but easy drive to everywhere we wanted to go. Host was great and very easy stay. We would definitely do this again.

Great host

We had a great time and enjoyed our time here. Richard was gracious and there was plenty of things to do and places to go. Far enough off the beaten path to gaze at the Milky Way every night and enjoy a quiet and restful sleep.

Beautiful Stay Close to Tetons and Jackson

Richard, our host, is very friendly and welcoming. Property was clean and comfortable. Location is very close to the city of Jackson and for exploring Grand Teton National Park. Would stay again.

Peaceful retreat south of Jackson

Richard was an excellent and generous host. The apartment living area was open, light, comfortable, and quiet. The fully equipped kitchen facilitated cooking meals. We spent two weeks here and were very pleased with this space as our temporary home. (On-site washer and dryer were very convenient.) While we were visiting Jackson to assist our family with a major project, we did not have time to take advantage of the myriad things to do in and around Teton Valley and Grand Teton National Park; but Richard has a wonderful collection of materials on site to make guests aware of area opportunities. I did some baking projects with my grandchildren, and some after-school reading and craft projects. Both my husband and I loved the peace and natural pace of this relatively secluded space, far from the madding crowds. We would happily return when we again need a place to stay during future family visits.

Comfortable stay

Our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. Richard shared his knowlege of the area, which was very helpful. Everything in the cabin worked and was clean. Quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!

A Great Jackson Experience

Richard was an amazing host! He left us some goodies in the fridge and gave us great recommendations on places to go! The basement apartment was clean and had everything we needed, perfect for us! The property is out of town and peacefully quiet but a quick 10 min drive to town! I would highly recommend this for a great romantic getaway!

Grand Teton Trip

This property was a perfect find located away from the crowds in Jackson. It was extremely easy to get the national park. Richard had left some supplies for us which was welcomed after a long travel day.

Our week

Richard's place is a quiet, rustic spot about 10 minutes from Jackson- but away from the crowds! Richard allowed us to move in early and left a care package of thoughtful items which were very much appreciated! He had good suggestions of places to go and places to eat. Overall, we were happy with our stay!

Super location!!!

Great location about 10 min. from Jackson! Richard goes out if he way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Let us check in 3 hours early! Offered a late check out due to later flight. This sure beats slamming doors in a hotel!!! Quiet location. Great kitchen set up! Comfortable bed. Richard thinks of everything and a great source of information for the area. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Richard!!!

Cozy, clean, and comfortable

This is a lovely place just far enough out of town without being an inconvenience. Property owner was super gracious and responsive to any requests. Had some good recommendations for food and sightseeing. Nice welcome provisions in the fridge and well equipped kitchen. Washer and dryer in the unit was helpful. Note: the owner lives upstairs but we never saw him or even knew he was there. You won’t either. Highly recommend.

Beautiful location away from downtown Jackson Hole but close enough to everything.

The drive to and from was gorgeous. Richard was a great host and left several items for us in case we were too tired to go out to eat or go to store. Place was clean & perfect size for my husband & me. The Bird restaurant is close by & wonderful burgers. Breakfast at Virginian was always good. Tetons were beautiful as always.

Just what we wanted!

Richard was a most gracious host. The place is just a little south of Jackson. We appreciated having such a well stocked kitchen. Everything we could have wanted was provided and more! Very quiet and peaceful. A definite 5 star rating from us.

September Tetons trip

Overall, very happy with our stay. Richard was there when we arrived, although we did not know he stayed in the main house above the rental unit....This was NO problem for us though! As a suggestion, as we had a pet with us, we needed to be out at night with him, and there was no outside light. Perhaps either installing some outdoor lighting, or providing a flashlight would be recommended.(We had brought our own flashlight) Richard provided us with many nice welcoming gifts, and really enjoyed his thoughtfullness!

Excellent way to explore Jackson Hole

Richard and the property were wonderful! 15 minute drive into Jackson Hole without the Jackson Hole prices. Plus we got way more staying here than we would have at a hotel in Jackson Hole. Having a kitchen, grill, and yard made eating in easy. Richard greeted us with a tour and welcome gifts. Would happily stay again.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

This one bedroom cabin is outside of Jackson in the hills above Snake River with hiking trails nearby, quick trip to Jackson for restaurants and shopping. Generous and gracious host.

Great location to Jackson Hole

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was a great location close to Jackson but away from the hustle and bustle. Nothing fancy, but great communication with the host. Saw a few mice inside while we were staying there but clean otherwise.
