The house itself was very beautiful. We had a few minor issues during our stay (the pool filter was defective, the air conditioning was not working, and the gate lock was broken). These issues were resolved quickly, which we appreciated. However, it is disappointing that they were only fixed after we reported them, rather than being identified and addressed proactively.Much more problematic, however, was the location of the house directly next to a very busy main road. Throughout our entire holiday, there was never a period of more than 15 seconds without traffic noise. This made it very difficult to enjoy the outdoor areas and relax in peace. In addition, the house directly next to the property was under construction. We experienced, at times, extremely loud construction noise throughout our stay.Neither the heavy traffic noise nor the construction work was mentioned in the property description. Even worse, we informed Emma’s Villas about these issues, but apparently nobody was interested. We did not even receive an email or message of apology. In short, the house is far too expensive for what it offers, and the level of service was extremely disappointing.
