Casa El Ma - Beautiful Villa, surrounded by forest. Pool & lovely garden

Casa El Ma is a medium-sized, completely restored farmhouse, surrounded by forest with a wide variety of trees, some of which are hundreds of years old. In front of the house there is a natural spring with the running into a little lake. Records of the farmhouse date back to 1213, and it conserves some vestiges of earlier periods, especially the remains of walls with opus spicatum or herringbone stonework.

The house also has a beautiful swimming pool (10x4 meters) with Jacuzzi function as well.

It is attached to a very well preserved seventeenth-century church which is still active on special days during the year. A few yards from the farmhouse there are two very well conserved tile kilns, These kilns are believed to be built for making bricks to build the house. Utmost respect for all the details and items of earlier periods has been paid in its conversion into welcoming, two-storey accommodation:

- The main entrance on the ground floor has a courtyard with a barbecue and tables. Inside the building there is a dining room and a lounge with two sofas, chimney and television. The kitchen is in the same area and is equipped with a ceramic hob, fridge, oven and dishwasher. A common area leads to a bathroom with a shower, a bedroom with twin beds, a washing area with sink, washing machine and dryer, and a game-room with table tennis table and board games.

- The first floor is reached by a stairway from the dining room or by an entrance on the first floor. The first floor has a fully-equipped bathroom with shower, a double room, a single room and another double room with fully-equipped ensuite bathroom. This room also has an exit.

Outside, the house has a private courtyard with terrace and barbecue. The property is next to the owners' house, and the two houses are surrounded by wonderful garden with lawn, trees and many spots with excellent view over the area, as it is situated on a hill. There are bicycles in the house, which are free of use.

For the last 14 years we have engaged in letting out fantastic Catalan holiday homes, all of which live up to our criterias: they are authentic, charming homes and are all of a very high standard. We consider the perfect holiday to consist of two parts - a nice holiday home and some great excursions and activities. For each part of Catalonia we have made an activity document with our personal recommendations. As we consider ourselves to be experts in Catalonia, you are of course always welcome to ask for help and advice. We aim to find the perfect holiday home for you :-)
