Location

This establishment offers an exceptional guest experience, characterized by impeccable cleanliness and exceptionally hospitable ownership. Their account of the restoration process for the historic barns was particularly insightful. I highly recommend this property.

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic stay in the Dairy house at the Higher Yalberton farm. It is a good location for all the sightseeing. We loved Dartmoor National Park. And at the end of the day it was lovely relaxing in the hottub.

Perfect

Place was amazing, very peaceful but close to everything, the conversion of the building was done to a very high standard and the it was meticulously clean, the owners are very friendly and helpful. we honestly have nothing negative we can say about it. As we told the owners, online booking photos can be deceiving and normally they are not as good as they look, the photos when booking do not do this place justice, we were genuinely surprised at how good it was. 100% recommend.

Amazing stay at the Dairy.

The Dairy is just amazing and beautiful. It is tucked away in the corner of the property and is private just for you to chill out. The Dairy has all the amenities to satisfy all your needs, the bed is comfortable, great garden with the sun all day and the hot tub is great. Jen & Kev were great hosts and were always on hand to answer any queries or just to have a chat .......... they were brilliant.

Excellent pre-Christmas break.

A lovely cottage for a relaxing break especially with your own hot tub. Everything provided and you only had to ask if you required anything else.

Superb accomodation with a beautiful view

The accomodation was beautiful, having been finished to a very high standard. It had everything we needed. As we were lucky enough to have very good weather during our stay we were able to enjoy the lovely private garden space which is landscaped and well equipped with a table and chairs, recliners, a barbecue and hot tub. The surrounding grounds are also very attractive. Thanks to Jen and Kev, the owners, who are excellent hosts and are very friendly and informative about the local area.

Book Again

Communications with the owners were good and we received a very friendly welcome on arrival, with lots of helpful tips of where to eat and how to get there. We were greeted with a beautiful, sympathetically restored property, showing amazing attention to detail. The kitchen was very well equipped as were the outside areas, with the hot tub and seating all with a very high level of cleanliness. For those with an EV there is a charger, you have to park very close to the wall to allow others to access and egress the entrance, but it is not a major problem. It was relatively quiet when we went, but were all the cottages to be full, the parking and turning area looked like to could become tight. On departure we did not feel rushed by constant communications regarding our check out time, the owners did not supply endless instructions as to ‘what must be completed’ before leaving and we received a nice wave and a friendly chat before we heading out. The location of the cottage itself in relation to amenities such as supermarkets, and its setting within the valley are lovely, the only reason I marked it down on location was the aforementioned entrance way and turning area, the barn works close by, though during our stay it was very quiet and we only noticed anyone there on the Saturday, and mainly for those not used to some West Country roads, they are very narrow and in areas heavily pot holed so take care. In no way would those minor issues stop us booking the Diary again, in my view, a re-visit is the best feedback we can give.
