Discover the charm of Southwood Farm Cottage, a delightful retreat on the edge East Ashling, just a short drive away from Chichester city centre.

Step inside to find a well-appointed kitchen, complete with modern appliances including an electric oven, dishwasher, and microwave. There is a washing machine, high chair, and travel cot catering to the needs of families.

In the cosy living room, sink into the sofa and unwind in front of the smart TV after a day of exploring. The dining area provides the perfect setting for enjoying meals together, whether you've prepared a home-cooked feast or simply picked up local delicacies to savour.

There is a ground floor bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, a king size bedroom, and a twin bedroom which can be made into a super king. Please do request this upon booking. The 3rd bedroom, is set up as a dressing room, reading room, or an office space for anyone working from home.

There is a lawn garden, with outdoor seating available. The lockable shed is available to guests for any bikes or paddle boards that they will be bringing for their stay.

For wine enthusiasts, a visit to nearby Ashling Park promises a memorable tasting experience beside their vineyard, where you can sample locally produced wines in a picturesque setting.

The Cottage in the South Downs National Park and not far from Kingley Vale nature reserve. It is next to beautiful bluebell woods which bloom during the spring, a lovely picturesque walk.

Relaxing Stay with Everything Provided

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The location was perfect for us, making it easy to catch up with family and friends along the south coast. The cottage itself was very well equipped, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed to prepare meals without any hassle. It was a lovely touch to find milk in the fridge and biscuits waiting for us on arrival, as well as useful essentials like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand soap, and body wash. Having a hairdryer provided also made things much more convenient. The setting was beautiful, with stunning sunsets from the back garden and deer visible from the front, which made our stay feel extra special. Overall, this was a comfortable, welcoming, and well-thought-out place to stay, and we would happily return.

Very good property in great location.

Although our stay didn't get off to the best start as the cottage had not been cleaned since the previous renters. Henry Adams were quick to respond and send housekeepers to carry out the cleaning, change beds etc. It was a lovely location for the coast as well as country walks with our two dogs, the garden was fully enclosed and was a good size. Would definitely consider visiting again.

Insects

Lovely cottage, few cobwebs and spiders and there was anest of lady birds in the kitchen window above the fridge which were crawling about in the kitchen too. We noticed that the bathroom wash basin wasn’t fixed to the wall and felt unsafe.

Fabulous stay!

Stayed in this cottage for a monrh over the Christmas period. A cosy, clean, warm house in a beautiful location. Great hosts, good communication and nice touches (mince pies, wine and chocolates left for us). Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great for a quiet break

Location was excellent - rural but close to town. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and perfectly cleaned. Plenty of hot water, heating was good ( once you got to grips with the controls ) and kitchen had all the essentials for cooking a decent meal. Our only problem was the main double bedroom - the large bed was a bit too long for the room, making moving around a bit tricky. As a couple, we ended up using the twin room which was more spacious. Beds were very comfortable and if you have a youngster in tow, the travel cot was roomy ( bring your own bedding) and there was a high chair provided. Again, a slight criticism would be that as an old cottage it had some steep stairs so maybe a stair gate would be a good addition. Overall, a really nice cottage in a lovely spot.
