Love Maui vista

Love staying at Maui vista. This unit was another great Maui visit condo. Simple comfortable and nice place to stay with the family.

Perfect Location

While the location we stayed had not been renovated it was clean and met our needs, ideal location and walking distance to beaches, shops and restaurants

Simple room and great location and amenities

The condo is very minimal and basic with no upgrades. Clean enough but bare minimum. Great affordable place to stay to enjoy the location and island. Property manager very responsive and friendly.

Great Location

Clean. Great location. Condo had everything we needed. Could use renovating but that’s probably what keeps the unit affordable. We wouldn’t mind staying here again.

It was probably one of the most unforgettable times in my life! Felt like coming home, quiet, cozy place, birds came and joined us for breakfast. Mahalo AAOceanfront! View straight to the pool, right across Charley Young Beach, AWESOME! We'll be back soon!

Owner needs to update

I stay on Maui for a week every month for work. I have stayed in many condos over the years and I can easily say this one needs the most love. Please note this review is not a reflection of the property manager who was very accommodating when I left the property after two nights and will use them again. The unit is extremely outdated, so much that I questioned if the owner has been there since they bought it. The walls are dirty, there were exposed sharp carpet tack strips in the old living room carpet that I stepped on, the refrigerator was missing the handle, there was missing drywall/trim in the kitchen, old worn-out furniture, pretty much no decor on the walls (almost like staying in a prison), ants in the kitchen (which isn't really a big problem, it's Maui) and a cockroach infestation in the microwave screen. For a short-term rental, you would think that the owners would put a little bit of sweat equity/money/pride into sharing their property with the public.

Not quite like the picture!

I mean, don't get me wrong, it was fine. However, I wouldn't rent this unit again comparing to others I have stayed in, which is many. The condo is very dated and not looking quite like the picture shown. Only 3 dining room chairs. Only one chair on the lanai, so we couldn't sit outside at all. The queen bed needs replacing.....it squeaks and dips in the middle and is very old. The place is in need of some paint, new lighting (very dimly lit) and definitely a new shower curtain!! Nice location near the pool though. Also our building's bbq's were not working. We never did find the other ones. Very inconvenient to go searching around the whole complex in the dark for the other bbq's. Not very well equipped compared to other condos I have rented in Kihei. Only 3 mugs, 3 wine glasses, one small frying pan, one snorkel set, two delapidated beach chairs and no sun umbrella. No boogie boards. So overall, I would not rent this unit again unless it had some updates done.

We will be taking the time to do an inventory of the unit, and stock it with the required items for the unit. We take guest feedback very seriously, and your review will help us to improve the unit! We do manage numerous condos throughout Kihei if you would like to rent a different unit in the future.

Stay

Stay was OK. Had to put up with "The Virus." In trying to contact the AA office to redo my stay, because of the virus, first time was put on hood and hung up on. Second time, got thru but died on hold. THIRD time, got thru but person "could not tell me IF I could credit any unused tome for an Oct. stay. PROMISED to call me next AM. DIDN'T!! Called and spoke with him again, NO apology. Said AGAIN he'd have to clear with supervisor. AGAIN PROMISED to call next day when she was in. He e mailed me that afternoon and said it was OK'd after talking to manager - who he'd told me earlier was GONE for the DAY!!!

We are making company decisions regarding cancellations and refunds every day while new news and updates come out. We had been experiencing a very high volume of phone calls and emails from guests. We also closed our office down and we have some staff members working remotely. We are sorry you did not receive our usual high quality customer service, but we're happy your question got answered and you received a refund after deciding to leave Maui early. We hope to host you again on Maui soon!
