15 Ski Harbor

Had I read the reviews before booking, I probably wouldn’t have booked this home, but it actually met our needs just fine. Yes, it could use some updating for sure, like AC and WiFi, but it served its purpose for our trip. There was a new gas grill on the deck and a Roku TV (despite the description stating charcoal grill and no cable). We didn’t try to use the pool but it was a beautiful view and wonderful breeze off the lake.

this property was extremely dirty. The living room furniture was old, worn & dirty. The screen doors were all broken--screens pulled away from the frames, frames bent so that they dont fit in the doorframe. the screens in the windows were dirty. The tub in the 2nd bath room had a blue dye of some type in it. Reported everything to the Vacasa but have not heard back.

Perfect house if you wanted to know how the Brady Bunch lived.

Loved the location. Pictures make the place look larger and newer. Patio was filthy. Outdoor grill was a mess, plus there was no propane tank to boot. Wouldn’t have use it because of terrible the condition of the grill/

Beautiful view and great location

Sitting on the balcony of the master bedroom to have coffee early in the morning and watching the mist rise from the lake was wonderful. Great location for large families. Be mindful that the townhouse is located in a community, which during peak times means a bustling lake and a festive outdoor experience. Property contains everything one would need for an extended stay. Highly recommended.

So Sad

When we arrived we were a sixteen digit code for the front doors cipher lock, that did not work.But after we called in, they gave us the code for the emergency key. When looking through the pitchers before we rent, it shows you a swimming pool. I brought 3 children with me. So when I asked about the pool, they said, there's no pool, but we've seen kids going in and out of the swimming pool that was across the street from us the entire time. The toilet seats are only connected on one side, so they slide from side to side. The owner sweet. It has a balcony when it rains. The water comes underneath the door and soaked the carpet. When you pull the shower curtains back, they're too long and they sit in the bar in the tub, and all of them had mold all over them. All of the bedrooms have televisions, but none of them work, the only tv that picks up.Anything is the one in the living room. I am a fire inspector that is licensed in the state of maryland what I don't understand it's how the windows don't open, and when you go to the outside and look in, they're duct tape shut. Every window in every room should open all the way up in case of a fire that a grown man can fit through to get out. You can Google and ask in the state of Maryland for a rental property. How high the window has to be from the floor how wide it has to be and how big the opening must be. When you look up in the kitchen, the dining room and the living room, you can see all the water damage from a leak.

Long week

The house was nice. No air conditioning which makes the nights pretty miserable to sleep. Overall everything else was nice.

Good location

Centrally located and convenient to restaurants and shopping. Disappointed in condition of condo. Property in some serious need of repair and updating. Dishwasher did not work, multiple areas of water damage, broken blinds, etc. Overall did not meet expectations.

Great location and value!

7 of us got together for the Deep Creek wine festival and rented this condo. It was cute and met our needs with the 3 bedrooms and pull out sofa in the living room. The reviews are pretty much accurate. Most everything you could need for the kitchen is provided. None of the bathroom outlets worked, so that was a bit of a problem with 4 women trying to get their hair ready elsewhere throughout the unit. Great value and location and we would stay here again.

Overall good experience. Great location. Great views. Nice house, nice pool. Some truly minor issues should be addressed. 1 Garbage disposal needs repair. 2 No frying pan for cooking. 3 Second floor balcony should have appropriate outdoor furniture. 4 Toilet exhaust fans should be checked for good operation.

Great view and location, but that's all

Lovely view, right on the lake, at the front door of Wisp, and what passes for inexpensive these days. But pretty much everything else was subpar. The house has potential but is in poor repair: broken blinds, missing cabinet knobs, greasy dirt above stove, dust- and bug-covered windows and screens, a bare-essentials kitchen, TVs that just did not work, a broken window frame that has been taped together for over a year, uncomfortable mattress in master. And you know from the listing that there is no wifi. If you want something cheap and can entertain yourself in the evenings, this might work for two to four people.

TV's didn't work, washer/dryer didn't work. Never received a response from management company after reporting issues. The property, while clean, is dated and had water stains on ceilings. NO WIFI

Great location poor property management.

I want to start by saying if you want a place on the lake this place has wonderful views. However I specifically booked this location because of both lake and hot tub access. However when the key for the amenities was missing the property management through Vacasa was unhelpful and we never were able to access amenities despite multiple conversations where they acted like they would be able to solve the issue. Also not that you need it at a beautiful location but don’t expect tvs to work and no internet. Plenty of towels and sheets and comfy beds but want to warn that if there are issues property management will be unlikely to help.

Horrible Property Listing On Vrbo

The property is ran by Vacasa and listed on Vrbo website (found out after checkin). There’s NO cable tv and it was listed. It has tv’s and one tv with Roku tv but it needs the internet for the tv to work. The pictures that’s shown on the website are not the same as the inside look. The place only has updated appliances and no updated furniture etc. Headboard in the second bedroom was broken. There was NO OUTSIDE lighting attached to the house. Lights were good in the neighborhood.

DONT DO IT

This unit and the associated customer service were abysmal. No air conditioning, internet, or access to the community pool and hot tub as promised on the listing. We had a toddler in a 90 degree room and Vacasa offered a fan and never brought it. We ended up leaving and had to fight tooth and nail for a promised refund, and the local team never once communicated with us in over 5 days. We will never book through Vacasa again, and strongly advise against it! Vrbo should drop this unit!

Not great…

Unfortunately, this was not a positive experience for us. This rental lacked in a lot of ways to include non-functioning televisions, very, very outdated furnishings which looked old and not clean. The kitchen was not stocked appropriately. There were four faded drinking cups and one plastic warped cup. The mini blinds on the windows were all broken and bent, but it didn’t make a difference because the windows were so dirty that you did not have a great view of the lake anyway from inside. Having been a homeowner who has rented our home through the same agency, I guess we were a bit surprised at the condition of this rental. We know that there are standards typically for homeowners.
