Cottage core and comfort

This is a very traditional cottage - think exposed beams, creaky floors and steep and twisty stairs- but one that has been thoughtfully modernised. Great shower, quality oven, well-equipped throughout we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The village of Hoxne is steeped in history, has several short circular walks nearby and is great for star gazing as there is little to no light pollution. The Swan just a few minutes walk from the cottage serves lovely food but booking probably a good idea at the weekend. The beach is just 50 minutes away; we enjoyed a surprise sunny day at Southwold. Anything missing? Only a teapot (we are from the north!) and phone signal but neither absence spoiled our stay.

We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay, Liz, and you and Mark were perfect guests. Although we can't do anything about the phone signal hopefully the land line was a helpful option, and your suggestion of a teapot is one that we coffee-obsessed southerners will give serious consideration to.
