Our stay at the villa was the highlight of our trip to Spain! Mikel was extremely helpful before and during our stay. We took advantage of the chef service. Mikel connected us with chef David who was amazing!! Our family has a large number of food restrictions and David found a way to feed us all and introduce us is to many traditional Spanish dishes. The views at the villa are fantastic…well worth walking up all the stairs.

Incredible villa

We had a wonderful time! The villa is even more beautiful in person. Mikel is responsive, helpful, and accommodating. Convenient location near Plaza Nueva with incredible views. The villa is comfortable and well-appointed. I would 100% stay again!

Nuestra Maravillosa Estadía en Granada

Though I did not appreciate the long walk up many steps to get to the front door, once there, the house and views were out of this world fabulous! The gardens and the very close proximity to the Alhambra were magnificent. The house was big enough to accommodate all 13 of us very comfortably. I really recommend it for large families and groups. Mikel was so welcoming, helpful, and provided very valuable advice during ou stay. Highly recommended.

Beautiful authentic Carmen but is tired and just needs some work on it to make it even better. For example the patio rattan furniture needs new cushions and both coffee tables are broken. Perhaps clean around the pool area to remove debris and leaves and paint some of the outdoor walls. Blinds are getting difficult to open and close. However this Carmen is utterly wonderful and it's huge. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms spotless. Please note no shampoo which is listed as being provided.Kitchen is great and very well equipped. We loved having the clavinova and the views from that room are truly wonderful.The pool is very refreshing however it kept going green which was a little unnerving. Thank you to Mikel for doing his best to sort.Location is fabulous but be prepared for the climb! Overall we thought this place was wonderful and would highly recommend it for a family stay.

Rustic Charm But Not Easy To Get To

The villa has great rustic charm and a very convenient location near Plaza Nueva, the cathedral, and surrounding neighborhoods. The pool is great to cool down in the afternoon. The house does not have any air conditioning or ceiling fans - there are some table/floor fans. It’s cooler in the mornings and evenings, but the villa is very stuffy in the afternoon. The biggest issue is getting to the villa — it is a HIKE up many many steps. I work out 5 days/week (lift weights and run) and I was a sweaty mess and out of breath walking to the house with a carry on bag. I had to carry my kids’ (10 and 14) carry-on bags too because they couldn’t make it all the way. Be prepared for a hike up to the house, the significance of which we did not fully appreciate from the description.

STUNNING, sprawling and special

This villa is SUREAL!!!! It literally feels like an enchanted estate - the type of place artists or poets would live for inspiration. The views from this property are INCREDIBLE- you would get your money’s worth from these alone. We tried to photograph this place, but could not fully capture its magic. The location is also EXCELLENT in a great shopping/food area with a taxi station in the plaza below.Our family group included ages 18 to 83 years and the property suited our needs perfectly. The host and Mikel are friendly, professional and responsive - 10/10!The Villa is on a hillside - SO worth the steps up. The private entrance opens into a multi-level garden with twists and turns, seating niches, sculpted shrub tunnels and exotic flowers. An al fresco dining terrace offers branch-framed views of the city. A flowing water feature with huge lilies embellishes the ancient wall beside steps down to a clean pool - a great relief after the trip up in the summer heat. This entire garden/terrace/pool area is private to the villa!And that’s just the OUTSIDE. The inside is equally impressive. First and foremost, it was clean, clean, clean! All of the bedrooms had soft beds with puffy white duvets and huge windows that catch the breeze and have great views. There is an interesting library with a keyboard and guitar, fireplace and family sitting area, which opens onto an outdoor dining porch overlooking the city. Too many special features to name!Magical and memorable!!!!
