Great location, and very comfortable apartment. Remote control batteries and light globes could be checked and replaced as needed. The lift also didn’t open on the ground floor a few times - requiring us to press return to the apartment level and start the lift again. Loved the evening time views of the Acropolis - just fantastic with a Rose and takeaway!

Athens !

Location is great ! Communication mostly prompt and helpful. We paid for early check in, the apartment was not ready when we arrived. Spacious and comfortable rooms. However, the shower and vanity sink needs to be cleaned , very slow to drain. We found numerous recyclable items in a kitchen cabinet.

Location and view, the rest rather dispointing

The former feeling of luxury is gradually disappearing. Loose tap, peeling paint on the doors, large gaps in the laminate, handles and doors are not really clean. We've seen worse, but it wasn't great. There was only one thin sheet for two on each of the double beds, the agency brought two more on request (email and WhatsApp communication didn't work, only a phone call helps). The kitchen is not really equiped for cooking. What makes the flat special is the view of the Acropolis from its own roof terrace (we could never get enough of it) and the location. Both are really, really great!

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK! I highly suggest you read all if this before deciding whether to book. Below is our experience. On arrival, we discovered the elevators were broken. This required us to climb 7 floors with our luggage. The building is dirty, so we had to watch where we stepped and many of the floors had no lighting (or windows), so we needed the light on our phone to navigate. I reached out to the host about the elevator. They replied that they would look into it. They never did. The unit was in fair (at best) condition. There is mold growing on the walls. The sheets and blankets are stained. There is only one shower and drain does not work, so when we took a shower, it flooded the bathroom. There is a drain on the bathroom floor, so we built a small dam with towels to direct the water. On day 3 the water went out completely. We reached out to the host about it who suggested we wait and see. We eventually gave up, brushed our teeth using a water bottle and left to explore the city. Luckily the water was back on that evening. The elevators never became operable, so climbing 7 flights of stairs after a long day of hiking is...not fun. So, what's the good? The view is great, and the location is good. That was the main reason we booked it. Here's the kicker. When we returned, I planned on doing the review. I discovered that the host cancelled the reservation. This prevents one from leaving a review. Neat Trick! I had to file a complaint to write this

The cleanliness of the place could have been better. The remote for the AC in the living room didn't have any batteries in it. The TV wouldn't turn on using the remote. A large cabinet door in one of the bedrooms was completely broken off and sitting in the floor. There were mildew stains in the same bedroom under the AC unit. The shower hose was partially broken when we arrived, and it broke while we were there and we couldn't shower (normally). We contacted the host who wanted a photo of the issue. We provided the photo and were never contacted again. However, the view was fantastic, the balcony was huge, and it came with a cat that we fed while we were there. Overall, the place is fine, the location is great, it just needs a little TLC and it would be great.
