The highest point on the island is Varden, 201 meters above sea level. On the island, there are ruins of a Benedictine monastery from the Middle Ages. 33 km by car to Vestkapp or Kjerringa, a mountain on the northwesternmost part of the Stad peninsula in Nordfjord, Vestland. Kjerringa towers 497 meters above the ocean and is considered the westernmost mountain plateau in Norway. Great fishing opportunities.
