We were blessed with the best weather! It was a very windy start but cleared, allowing kayaking, hiking and ADK leaf color. The provided kayaks are Pungos - easy, stable paddle boats. We took them over to Chapel Island and down the beautiful quiet bay to see the old camp with incredible boathouse. The youngest in our group swam every day. WE hiked at The VIC, Newcomb environmental center, went to The High Gorge waterfalls, the ADK museum at Blue Mountain. The only caveat for Little Bear renters-no potable water. Because we were out and about most afternoons, 6 gallons lasted our party of 4 over our four day stay. All in all, Camp Little Bear has a comfortable old camp feeling, family friendly, right on the water and ready for days of fun and evening campfires under the stars. Oh, one more thing, be sure to look for the yellow wagon under the house. Makes getting your gear to the cabin easy!
