This was a great stay. The host responded quickly to our questions. To top it off we had glimpses of the Aurora. This property is close to the airport, and the nights were not totally dark, but we could easily drive up to the light tower for dark sky’s. The view from the kitchen window is sunning.

Wonderful cottage in a fantastic location. The views from the cottage are tremendous looking over the turquoise sea. Very close to Jarlshof and Sumburgh Head, 15 minutes from St. Ninian’s Isle, and 30 minutes from Lerwick.The cottage was clean and comfortable. Good communications with the host, Stephanie.

Three adults stayed at the cottage for a total of 9 nights. 2 of us distance-worked during the week thanks to the strong network connectivity. Video calls for both of us were no problem at all. It’s also a great location for puffin viewing at Sumburgh Head if it’s the right time of year. The cottage is comfortable, well set up with everything you need and more, and the host communication was very clear and fast. She even ran an internet speed test for us before booking to make sure it would work for our need! Given the cottage is by the sea, there were some pill-bugs that likely wandered in from outside throughout the house. While not harmful, we felt this could be improved for the next guests.

Thanks for your feedback. It would have been helpful to let us know about the bugs before your post. The cottage has previously been sprayed for these bugs but we will look into this further

Beautiful house and views

We enjoyed our 4 nights in this wonderful house. The views are amazing and it's a beautiful quiet location. It is on the far south end of the Island. I had no problem with the drive to visit far reaching places as the scenery is spectacular. This was a perfect choice for us!

Family friendly, great location. Great communication. Kitchen fully equipped, oven, toaster and fridge could have been left better. Great space. Beds super comfortable. Would have been be great to have a dryer as clothes took 2 days to dry. Water pressure in shower wasn’t great. Heating was only on in sitting room and kitchen, controlled by owner. We would definitely stay again
