Villa Mar Mar con piscina by Wonderful Italy
Splendid villa with swimming pool a few steps from the sea, in the marine village of San Giorgio, south of Bari.
The villa consists of two levels: the ground floor, reserved and for the exclusive use of guests, and the second floor reserved for the owners. The entrance opens onto the spacious living area, characterized by large French-doors overlooking the pool. One part, used as a living room, features two sofas, of a double sofa bed, TV and a game console. Separating it from the dining room is a large marquee that makes the room intimate. The dining room features a large table and a few sofas facing outward, with beautiful views of the garden. A door leads to the modern, fully equipped kitchen. The sleeping area, on the other hand, consists of two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with a queen-size bed and a bunk bed. A bathroom with shower completes the layout.
The highlight of the facility is definitely the large outdoor spaces. There is a furnished garden where you can enjoy outdoor meals under the shade of the pergola, a private saltwater swimming pool, a barbecue area, and a play area perfect for the little ones. An area reminiscent of beach establishment cabins features two bathrooms with showers and the laundry room.
Parking and the adjacent small garden are shared with the owners.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
Fascinating, rich in history, and authentic: Bari is the capital of Puglia and the most populous city overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Also known as the "Gateway to the East," the city has a strong merchant-entrepreneurial tradition and has always been a focal point of trade and contact with the Middle East. The city's offerings are truly rich: ancient churches, romantic glimpses of the sea, historic palaces, relaxing walks along the waterfront, and, finally, local gastronomic treasures such as orecchiette, focaccia, or panzerotti.
The discovery of the city certainly begins in the area of "Bari Vecchia," or the oldest core where most of the city's sites of interest are located. Visiting its historic center is a bit like stepping back in time. Walking through the alleys of Bari Vecchia, one crosses Via Arcobasso, also known as Via Orecchiette, where local ladies prepare, according to ancient recipes, fresh local pasta. Among the city's main attractions are the Basilica of St. Nicholas, built at the end of the 11th century, a pilgrimage destination and symbol of Catholic and Orthodox culture, and the Norman-Swabian Castle, a legacy of Frederick II of Swabia, between the sea and the old town.
In addition, numerous Apulian destinations such as the city of Trani (50 km), with its breathtaking scenery, rich in history and harmonious architectural lines, Castel del Monte (55 km), one of Italy's 54 UNESCO World Heritage sites, Alberobello with its typical trulli (55 km) and Castellana Grotte (45 km) are easily accessible from this city. Moving south, Polignano a Mare, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," will leave you speechless with its crystal-clear waters and rock embroidered with cavities carved by the sea.
Bari-Karol Wojtyla International Airport is a 30-minute drive, while Bari Station is 10 km away.
