Nostalgic getaway

I used to stay at the Ocotillo lodge as a young girl. It was nice to go back and enjoy the pool and spas with my daughter. Unit was nicely appointed and decorated.

Perfect MCM

The property was just perfect. The condo was nice, it was nicely set up and perfect size and location for a couple get away. I would give 5 stars but I feel the condo could use a bit fresh up. The carpet and rugs needed to be replaced, beyond just cleaning up.

Great little Writers Pad!

Perfect for the week we were there. Bright and Sunny.My only problem was trying to turn around in the shower {hee hee} it works. Decor is very Palm Springs, loved it.Has everything you need and the Pool is Amazing!!

Sister Holiday

I have stayed at the Ocotillo lodge in the past and enjoyed the complex especially the pool. It is an icon in Palm springs. The unit I stayed in was in the condo bldg and was clean and functional but definitely needed to be updated. A few new pillows in the living room could freshen it up and a new throw rug or a deep clean of the existing one would do it. The bathroom light was weird so for a small expense could be updated.The kitchen had all that was needed and there were pool towels a hair dryer and even a flat iron! All in all we loved our vacay and would return to the complex next time in Palm Springs

Coachella Weekend Getaway

This Mid-Century Pad was fantastic! The unit was clean, cozy, spacious, and located conveniently near everything. The booking process was easy. The check-in process was seamless, great communication from host. My friend and I felt very comfortable in the unit, the included amenities were great, everything that you need for a stay is included - from bathroom needs, kitchen needs, even board games can be found in this super cool and groovy place. The place has great parking, gated community, the neighbors are quiet, respective and friendly. I highly recommend this place for all of your Palm Springs (and other surrounding area) getaway and/or vacations. The best part is the host stayed in communication to ensure that our stay is great and that if theres anything else we needed they were just one text message or one phone call away form us. We cant thank their team enough for our fantastic Palm Springs stay!

no keys in lock box no response from local concierge waited for call back from Arrived - in the meantime a neighbor let us in the main gate and we used code to enter apartment loud construction going on right under apartment

Shame on them

Our initial take was that the apartment was a bit shabby but OK. The door lock didn't work properly, the fitness center was closed for renovation, but it wasn't bad. However, two days after we arrived. it became a major construction zone. I have a number of pictures to document this. The work was loud and started at 7:00 AM. HAD WE BEEN TOLD BEFOREHAND THAT THERE WOULD BE CONSTRUCTION WE WOULD NEVER HAVE RENTED IT.

Review

The place is a gem inside though there are some things that need to be upgraded: 1. The keys are not cut well and are difficult to get into both the gate and the front door at times. 2. The gate lock needs to be replaced. More than once it took over 15 minutes to get the gate unlocked and at one point I wound up calling Arrived for help. The woman who answered the phone was sympathetic and helpful but she had notes; so clearly this has happened before - probably several times. Surely with the cost of the room, replacing the lock should be a priority. 3. The outside patio should be better cleaned and the furniture needs to be replaced - especially the umbrella, which is semi-broken. I very much enjoyed my time; especially the pad; the view of the mountains; and the pool is magnificent.

While we really enjoyed the pool area we found our individual unit very noisy and uncomfortable for a long term stay. As the garbage area is right next to the bedroom we were often awakened by owners emptying garbage or the garbage truck itself. There is also constant traffic noise as the windows do not shield noise of any kind. The flooring could also be updated to make cleaning easier. We paid a $500 cleaning fee yet I do not believe the rugs were professionally cleaned before our stay. Washers and dryers were listed under amenities but they are not in the unit and we're out of service for some of our time. We used Thrifty's for our laundry as did many guests as the app for laundry did not work well. The plastic furniture while easy to clean is not comfy and with only 2 kitchen chairs we did not even invite friends for a meal and we had to place cardboard under the table to keep it from rocking. If you wanted to watch tv in the evening the alignment of furniture was poor. I hope our comments will help improve the property for the future.

The place is a little run down. Definitely needs a refresh. It's cute though. Everything worked and check in was super easy and the manager was great. Water pressure is low too. It's by the trash cans so you get all that noise too.

Perfect location for all your needs. Restaurants, coffee and grocery stores within walking distance. Beautiful views, comfortable pool with the best selection of music. Quiet and peaceful. Perfect accommodations for 2 people. Pet friendly is a plus for sure. Love the mid-century vibe for sure.
