Wonderful place to stay to relax!

We loved staying at Heron’s Nest. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The marina is quiet and clean. We brought our boat and having a covered slip was a bonus for us! We loved being able to jump in and take the boat out without having to launch it every time. Mary was very helpful with our stay. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place right on the bay.

Serene tiny house

The tiny house rustic cabin was charming and well appointed, exactly as described. Super quite at night, sleep with the windows open. Quick access and centrally located in the NNK to both southern and northern towns and restaurants. We toured up and down the shores from Reedville to Urbana and a cruise to Tangier Island. Check out Hughlett Nature Preserve and hang out in Kilmarnack. Ledbellies at the Marina was a great dog friendly restaurant frequented by unapologetic locals. We plan to return, rent both tiny house cabins and take a cruise on the Bay with Captain Billy. Mary and Billy are so friendly and accommodating.

Exactly as described & Perfect!

We arrived in the dark and Mary was there to help us. Cabin was exactly as described and had the most pleasant cedar aroma. We enjoyed the view of the bay and for BOATERS, THIS is where you want to be! So quiet at night we had wonderful, restful nights! 15 minutes from Kilmarnock, 10 from Reedville. Perfect stay!

I did not stay but leaving a small review for posterity.

Mary(property owner) was helpful in getting our situation adjusted. We really wanted to stay at the property but obligations and timing didn't work. Fully expect to have a caring property owner. I fully expect and aim to stay at this property next year God willing. Thank you Mary for working with us.

Why Heron's Nest ?
We had so many inquiries about where to stay from our customers, we decided to have these lovely cottages built to meet the needs of our regular clientele. It was a greater need than we realized. In addition to fishing customers we now have families, honeymooners and regular folks like you and me longing for the Chesapeake Bay. They come for fun in the sun, fishing and water sports or just the peace and tranquility of being ….. on the Bay.

This is the perfect place for the action packed vacation. Situated right on the Chesapeake Bay and the Inter-coastal Waterway puts you right on top of the best fishing and sailing in the region. Bring your jet ski, small water craft and use our deep water ramp. Book a fishing charter or dinner cruise (on site) to fine waterfront dining. Witness glorious sunrises and restful sunsets. Sparkling fields of fireflies at twilight. The sounds of the sea birds. Or just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of a lovely place not yet discovered by most of the world.
