Amazing host very helpful , showed us how to put the cover over the hot tub which was helpful as I thought it did not have a cover over when raining . Very clean and lots of extras like tea , coffee , sugar and milk. Look forward to staying here again x

The property was lush, just what was needed for the two of us to get away for a couple days. Everywhere was immaculate. And we easily found manuals for anything we were unsure of how to use i.e. dishwasher and coffee machine. The hot tub was amazing, we watched the meteor showers in the middle of the morning from there We also enjoyed lovely sandwiches from their sandwich shop, wpuld definitely recommend that. And we will definitely be visiting the property again

My friends and I stayed at La Cantera for four nights and we could not stop talking about how perfect everything was! Not only did it have a stunning view, but the property itself was equipped with everything you could ever need- comfy beds & blankets, a variety of games, a TV, a fab shower in the bathroom, a hot tub... and loads of tea and coffee! From the location, we were able to travel by both car and train to the nearby Merthyr Tydfil and a little further down south to Cardiff; it made for a peaceful getaway with friends balanced with a bit of shopping here and there. The hosts were lovely and very friendly, and by the other comments in their visitor's book, we've got a bit of competition if we book to stay again! Thank you very much for hosting us at La Cantera, and hopefully we see you again soon!! :-)

We are the Steele family! Ryan and Esther Steele, and our children Francesca and Jesse. Esther grew up in the village of Heolgerrig, Merthyr Tydfil, whilst Ryan grew up in South Eastern Spain. Both Esther and Ryan have taken their love for all things Spanish and added it to make La Cantera what it is today; a little piece of Spain in the South Wales Valleys. The family home is built on a quarry, and with La Cantera being the direct Spanish translation for the quarry, a dream was born when the family moved to this beautiful property in 2017, and began planning a holiday let soon after in 2021. Ryan is a fluent Spanish speaker and Esther is very competent at German having grown up taking annual holidays to Germany to see family. Both Francesca and Jesse attend Welsh-speaking school and have done so since nursery age. The family loves going on bike-rides together and Ryan and Esther have a mutual love for gardening. Francesca is a wonderful singer and Jesse hopes to play rugby for Wales. The family loves hosting because it allows people to experience this little piece of paradise in the heart of Merthyr Tydfil.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

The property boasts wonderful views of the South Wales Valleys, which is a unique selling point for the accommodation. The property has also been exceptionally well thought out - it caters to every need imaginable. Already awarded Superhost Status on Airbnb multiple times, and 'exceptional' status on Booking.com, both Esther and Ryan are incredibly proud of what they have achieved from a little garage conversion!

この宿泊施設の特徴

The stunning views! The hot tub, fire pit and log burner are also major attractions. The property has been decorated to a very high standard, and is very modern. But above all, La Cantera simply has something special without being able to put a label on why - you just have to visit to experience it for yourself!
