The Governor's House
Nestled in the very heart of the historic village of Lacock, The Governor's House boasts a second floor bedroom complete with a kingsize 4-poster bed, delightful views over the church and village on 3 sides and an exceptionally high quality mattress and bedding, while the first floor offers a spacious lounge with a dining area, coffee machine and TV and a beautifully designed shower room. The historic building has been recently been refurbished in a contemporary yet cosy English style.
Step outside to enjoy a private courtyard garden, complete with outdoor seating, atmospheric lighting, and a fire bowl.
The Governor's House offers the luxury of guaranteed parking in the our large gated driveway (a rarity in Lacock).
A breakfast hamper will be delivered to your doorstep at a time of your choosing. This includes granola, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, jam and butter as standard but we will happily adapt to your dietary requirements and preferences- just let us know.

The historic village of Lacock is a popular attraction for those looking for a picturesque escape, those seeking to immerse themselves in history, and fans of Harry Potter and numerous period dramas. Being such a popular place it benefits from a plentiful supply of traditional English pubs, craft and gift shops, restaurants, a local bakery and cafes. The main attraction is often Lacock Abbey. With its expansive and stunning grounds for exploring and plenty to explore inside - the property is steeped in history including being the site of the invention of photography.
Lacock serves as a fabulous base from which to explore the delights of The South Cotswolds, Bath, and Wiltshire, including Stone Henge and a large number of beautiful villages, estates and ancient monuments.
