Gem in Central Santander

I was impressed by this apt and would come back again. It is spacious, squeaky clean, functional furniture and bathrooms, very well equipped kitchen, pretty appearance, absolutely central location. There is a taxi stop 100 meters away, 2 supermarkets across, a small grocery shop and 2 cafes downstairs, and a bakery around the corner. The owner was so helpful always answering my questions immediately.

The apartment is for a maximum of 5 people, but the kitchen is very small, which means there's no dining table, and both bathrooms are in poor condition and cause water leakage. In one case it was so bad that the downstairs neighbor — who owns a shop — rang the doorbell the first time to say that water was leaking through the ceiling into his shop. The shop owner told us he had already been in conflict with the apartment owner about this issue for months. Naturally, we knew nothing about this. I then reported it to the owner, who took 4 days to respond, saying there was nothing wrong. However, the door of this bathroom couldn't close because of the water damage visible in the wood, and the door had warped. We were unable to use the bathroom for 4 days, and the owner was in no way willing to offer us any compensation for this. A very unpleasant experience, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this apartment. Such a shame, because Santander is a beautiful and really nice city, but this has really been a stain on our stay.

El apartamento se encuentra en la primera planta de un edificio con ascensor y fácil de acceso.
