The property is situated in an excellent location with breathtaking views, within walking distance to the Duck Bay restaurant and nearby Cameron House. The cottage itself was very well presented, and the welcoming pack on arrival was a thoughtful touch. Despite initial concerns about having only one bathroom, it was well-equipped with a walk-in shower and a separate bathtub, which proved more than sufficient for our stay. The Duck Bay restaurant was another highlight, offering impeccable food and service. Additionally, the maintenance team provided exceptional support throughout our stay. Their genuine desire to help, excellent communication, and professional manner were greatly appreciated.However, there were some notable issues during our stay. The lack of pedestrian-friendly gate access and the limited options for entry (only one fob, no keypad) were inconvenient. Furthermore, the front desk staff left much to be desired in terms of customer service. While explanations about security and freezing conditions were provided—factors that are understandable—there was no sense of compassion or an apology for the inconvenience caused. This was in stark contrast to the exceptional service received at the Duck Bay restaurant and from the maintenance team. It’s important to remember that the front desk team is the first and last point of contact for guests, as well as the primary contact when problems arise. Their interactions leave a lasting impression, and in this instance, their response fell short of expectations.To improve, the addition of pedestrian-friendly access options, such as a keypad or additional fobs, would be beneficial. Overall the experience was excellent and highly recommended. It is clear that this property is suitable for families with Children as well as groups of adults making it a great choice for everyone.
