This is a perfect base from which to visit nearby attractions which include Clearwell Caves, The Secret Forest, Puzzlewood, Perry Grove Steam Railway, the sculpture trail and a railway museum.

The Forest of Dean has always been a huge draw for cyclists with some wonderful routes. Fishing, horse riding, cycling and canoeing are readily available nearby. Areas within easy reach also include Beechenhurst and Mallards Pike. Symonds Yat is a popular destination for ornithologists due to the presence of nesting peregrine falcons. Fancy a day at the races, then Chepstow’s racecourse is a short drive, for the golfers amongst you there are some excellent golf courses nearby.
