New! Charming Villa, exotic and peaceful Garden, very private + airco

After finalizing the latest renovation the house is now ready for renting.

The villa was built in 1995. Done in a luxury Portugees Style. The house is sophisticated and traditional but is still really comfy. The authentic character of the building and the really quiet, rural surroundings give you an optimal feeling of experiencing a traditional Portugees holiday. The villa exsists of a main building and an annex divided by a gate. The annex has it's own entrance. The main building exsists of a spacious living room, separate kitchen and 2 bedrooms with both 2 single beds ( 200/90). One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and there's an other seperate bathroom in the main building with a bathtube. There are airco’s in the bedrooms of the mainbuilding just as well in the lounge. The annex is cool and
doesn’t need airco.


The kitchen was renovated in mid-2024, this also applies to the roof terrace on the outbuilding.

The third bedroom is situated in the annex with two beds and an ensuite bathroom. All the three bedrooms have their own access to the terraces and the swimming pool. The annex has an BBQ area,connected to a big terrace with diner table . On the BBQ area a second fridge and washing machine .

There is fast and stable 4G internet available.

Every room is equiped with a big fan so you get a nice breeze during the hot summers. All the doors and windows have a screen to protect you from mosquitos. The house is just a small distance away from the masstourism in a rural and hilly area. Really quiet and peacefull. Right from the house you can start walks in all directions between olives, cork oaks, oranges and almond trees. Big chance you will meet one of the shepperds and his sheeps.

At the carport are 2 surfboards, 1 SUP board and 1 body board. These are free to use. Use this at your own risk, the sea can be treacherous!! I am also unable to replace or repair them during the rental season.

A couple of restaurants, bars, and the local trainstation (Poco Barreto) are just 2 kms away. The train runs straight to Faro and other directions.

The monumental city of Silves is only 7kms away. Old, small alleys, cosy squares, supermarkets, many cafes and restaurants. Lagoa ( 11kms) and Alcantarilha ( 7kms) are nice , authentic villages where you will find all kind of services and shops.The big shopping malls in Guia ( 11kms) and Portimoa ( 20kms) can offer you everything you're looking for.

The beaches: Armancao de Pera (10kms), Praia da Marinha (15 kms) and Senora de Rocha (10 kms) can be reached within 15- 20 minutes..

Beach Praia da Marinha has been elected several times as the most beautiful beache of Europe. Praia de Albandeira ( 15 kms) and Praia de Carvalho (16kms) are not so famous but even more attractive.

Golf: Silves Golfcourse ( 5 kms), Amendoeira Golf ( 5kms)

Lisbon: 2,5 hours by bus from Silves. The airport of Faro is 50 kms away.

The house has a 100% free view on a beautiful green valley with only a few scattered white farmer houses on big distance. You get the feeling to be alone on the world.
It is south faced and has a big garden ( 3320 square meters) with lot of old trees and plants. There are several terraces, paved with beautiful old white boulders similar to those used in the historical centres of ancient Portugees cities. In one of the terrraces the private saltwaterpool is inbedded (8X4 meters) surrounded by palm trees, cipresses and a big diversity of subtropical vegetation. The villa is tastefully decorated with a mixture of antique furniture and modern design. The kitchen is well equiped with a 4 jet stove and an electric oven, big fridge with a freezer, dishwasher, microwave. The stove has a wokburner.

The six beds have hotel standard (200X90 cm).

Villa Poco Barreto has it's own water supply. The filtered water can be used from all the tabs. No dragging around with water bottles. Behind the main gate there's a parking area. including a covered carport.
Wifi/TV/Audio are available.
