Truly a room with a view!

The perfect place to stay, feels like a hidden get away from the cities but close enough to get anywhere in the metro easily! The host was so great to work with and made sure everything went smoothly for our stay. They made sure to check in after we had some severe weather, which was greatly appreciated! Beautiful view and fun to walk down to the river too! Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful location

Great stay. Loved the location and the views. Just be sure to bring ear buds for noise because it is above the garage and the doors can wake you. Owners are great communicaters and the river access is fantastic.

Relaxing with a beautiful view.

The view was beautiful!!! The bed was comfortable. It had everything that you needed for a wonderful relaxing. Stay and the host were the perfect hosts!! If you ever get a chance to stay in lakeland at this location, I would do it

Lakeland, MN stay

Great place to stay for the price. Close access to I94 into the cities or easy cross over to Hudson, WI. Because of the closeness to I94 there is a constant highway sound if you’re sitting outside on the deck but not noticeable inside. Studio apartment layout worked well for us. I would suggest a light dimmer switch as most of the lights are all on one switch.

Mixed Bag

First - This was a great location near Stillwater and Hudson- quiet and convenient. The place is cozy but efficient . The host is an excellent communicator and is very responsive to messages. Which was helpful since we had a problem with an oder in the room. The bed is comfortable, but could use some new sheets since there was some pilling. The set - up inside is great for a couple. I'm a shorter person , so the shower was a bit of a challenge reaching the shower hand held and shower head. Not much counter space in bathroom , but if you have a hanging toiletry bag it works just fine with the extra hooks in room. There is a path to the river, but if you have mobility issues maybe skip it- bit steep and some parts not in shape. There are kayaks available which is really nice. The shades inside were a bit hard to use .There are 2 doors and two huge beautiful windows. Make sure the extra door without key pad is locked. Also the extra door has large window (in front of bed )had no shade. Kitchen well stocked. Kitchen has dish soap and two small hotel soaps in bathroom. Ample towels in bathroom. We loved sitting out on the deck , comfortable patio furniture and nice view.

September Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at A Room With A View in Lakeland, MN. Great views of the St. Croix River & easy to get to Stillwater, MN, where we enjoyed biking, walking & dining out. Also enjoyed hiking at Willow River State Park.

Can't beat the location and architecture

What drew me to the property is the architecture and the location. It's designed efficiently and with a BIG view. The property owners are very open to answering questions and are generous about offering suggestions to made your stay enjoyable. During our stay we toured (drove) both the St Croix and Mississippi River Valleys. Hudson, Wi and Stillwater were both fun and close for shopping and dining. And the MPLS/St Paul metro area is also only a short distance. In addition we visited a couple of wineries in the area including the oldest winery in MN. I hope to create more opportunities for another getaway here soon.

Super Cute - Nice Accommodations

Truly enjoyed our stay here. Small but well-appointed and served our needs perfectly. It does require a fair amount of steps to access. Great location - close to shopping and fun nearby things to explore. Gorgeous views. Owners need to invest in some decent bed pillows, but overall no other complaints.

Excellent Location, very comfortable apartment

My 18 year old son and I stayed here for a short ski trip to Afton Alps. We eat healthy and wanted to cook our own food so we looked for lodging with a kitchen. This place was perfect and reasonably priced. The kitchen had every pan and appliance that we needed and then some, the beds were comfy, and the location beautiful. Not to mention it was right next to I-94 with restaurants and shopping minutes away. We had a problem with the heater when we arrived and my message was answered within 15 minutes and the problem addressed. Thanks for a great stay, we would definitely stay here again on another trip!

Great Location + Amazing Views

This place is a hidden gem! About 6 minutes at most away from the cute little town of Hudson! Also very close to downtown Stillwater, about 10 mins. The property is very private and an extremely safe location. You can also take steps down to a beautiful beach, a very unique stay. Erin’s communication was clear and such quick responses!!

Home in a home

This property is attached to the main house. It was pretty quiet as it was on a dead end street. The view was really nice overlooking the back yard and the river. The studio apartment was functional, clean and as a solo renter, I felt very safe here. Great communication from the home owners.

Lovely & private.

The stay was for our 25th wedding anniversary. We used the kayaks on location, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners, who live on the lower level, allowed us to feel like we were there alone much of the time, the view was spectacular and we would recommend it! The only adjustment for us was that we live in a very secluded area that is super-quiet, and with this being close to the overpass...we had to get used to the sound of traffic. Otherwise...loved it! We also plan to return as it's not too bad of a drive for us (3 hrs).

Wonderful rental

We just had a wonderful weekend in this apartment rental. The accommodations were lovely and very clean. The porch views were just beautiful and the beach access was perfect. Can’t wait to come again!

Beautiful piece of property. Location perfect for our Stillwater/Hudson visit. Clean. Quiet. Well appointed. Cannot state enough how beautiful this property and the setting above the river turned out to be. Wish we had more time to stay beyond our two nights.
