From the beginning of the check in process, our first impressions were not great. We had to wait in line about 45 minutes to just get to the gate for check in. They do only 1 car at a time to check in at the gate. The lady doing the check ins was also having to talk to people who were trying to get through the returning side but had not already checked in. They needed at least 2 people running the check in at the security gate.
Then when we arrived to the house, the previous guests’ garbage had not been removed. I understand trash pick up is in the morning, but walking up to a house with someone else’s garbage at the front door, especially during covid times, does not leave a good first impression. Plus there were mints scattered all around the front walk up, which were never cleaned
I like to wash all dishes in the dishwasher when I first arrive. When we went to wash dishes, we could not find plates and bowls. The dishwasher had mildew mold on the trays. We decided to not use the dishwasher, which didn’t matter much since we couldn’t find the plates.
Towards the end of the stay, we found plates and bowls in the cabinet ABOVE the refrigerator even though there were plenty of empty cabinet spaces at normal reach. The toaster and blender were on top of the cabinets, which could be reached only by standing on a chair. It was as if management did not want us to use any items in the kitchen.
There were TVs in each room, but only the bedroom downstairs and living room had cable boxes. We later found a bag of remotes, cables boxes and cords in the laundry room. We had to connect to be able to watch TV.
The resort pool does not allow any outside food or drinks, including water or snacks. Prices were not too bad, but not reasonable if spending a day at the pool. We were told they’d loose their license if they allowed outside food in.
The confirmation email came from one account, but further communication came from a different email account and several emails were missed. The listing says a heated pool, but did not reference a charge. So we missed out on having our pool heated since we did not read the email about having to have it heated prior to arrival, or would be charged an additional charge.
I will not stay at this community again. The resort pool was very neat, but the children’s splash pad had freezing cold water. The kids could not play.
