Historic Cubitt Lodge| 3BD 3BA Gem with Steam Room

Unfortunately, Joshua was one of the worst guests we’ve encountered in our 5 years of managing properties. Despite being seasoned property managers with multiple 5-star reviews and a history of satisfied guests, and also both as superstores on Airbnb, we found his behaviour to be extremely disruptive. He created unnecessary confusion by hiding property accessories, which left our housekeeper searching for them. Additionally, he complained about issues that were either nonexistent or easily resolved, such as the flush in the toilet (which required basic common sense) and the heaters, which were fully functional during his stay. We went above and beyond to meet his requests, including delivering toiletries and other amenities outside of regular working hours, and providing complimentary snacks, tea, coffee, and alcohol that other guests have always appreciated. He also made baseless complaints about open food boxes, which were simply complimentary items provided to guests. What’s most concerning is that Joshua waited until the day of checkout to raise his complaints and has since attempted to seek a refund. His actions suggest a pattern of dishonesty, and we genuinely caution other hosts to avoid him. We take pride in maintaining high standards and providing a welcoming experience for our guests, but this experience has been an exception. We highly recommend other property owners to proceed with caution when considering this guest.
