Location
The charming town of Opatija has been a popular resort since the 19th Century and is home to many fine villas. The apartment is only 250m from the sea and the seafront promenade, the Lungomare, which is the ideal spot for an evening stroll, taking in the lovely town and views over the Gulf of Kvarner.

Opatija’s beaches are popular for swimming in the pristine waters of the Gulf of Kvarner. There are many activities including kayaking, canoeing and diving.

The villa is close to all local amenities, including shops, restaurants and cafés. Opatija’s market hall (9-minute walk) is a source of the best local fish and other produce.

Rijeka (30 mins) is Croatia’s main port and offers a fascinating mix of history and contemporary culture. The city’s museums, castle and cathedral are all worth visiting.

Away from the coast, there are wonderful hiking trails in nearby the hills and for winter visitors there is even the ski resort of Platak (1 hour), for a day on the slopes.

Rijeka International Airport is just 40 minutes away.
