I am writing to you with serious concern and deep frustration. Last night, we experienced a complete electrical failure at the property. As of this morning: • There is no electricity • No functioning lights • We cannot cook • The swimming pool is completely unusable To make matters worse, the pool was already in poor condition due to minimal maintenance, but now—without electricity—the water is stagnant, the system is off, and there is no circulation at all. This is not just unpleasant, it is a potential health hazard. We are now several days into our stay (since Saturday), and I have reported multiple serious problems—from lack of hygiene, broken furniture, missing essentials, to access issues and now a total systems failure—and nothing has been resolved. I have spent hours trying to get help from Bell Villa, calling, messaging, and explaining everything over and over again. Their response has been completely unhelpful. I was told previous bad reviews had been resolved, which gave me confidence to book this villa. Clearly, that was misleading. There is: • No one managing access to the community • No communication or response from your side • No urgency to solve what are clearly critical issues ⸻ I am demanding, firmly and clearly: 1. That you send a technician/electrician immediately to restore power 2. That you arrange urgent maintenance for the pool and basic systems today 3. That you take responsibility for the shocking condition we found this property in 4. That you compensate us or find an alternative solution if this is not resolved today ⸻ We are here for one week, and so far, our experience has been extremely stressful and uncomfortable. This is not what was advertised, and it is not what we paid for. If this is not addressed within hours, I will be forced to escalate this via: • The booking platform • Official complaint channels • Public reviews and legal options if necessary Please understand: this is no longer just a matter of inconvenience—it is about basic safety, hygiene,… Belvilla is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Poor Dutch-speaking agents, having to explain the whole story every time because you get someone new on the line, broken promises to call back, promises to follow up via email but never doing so. We explained the seriousness of the situation again and again, sent photos to the SOS service, but no one responded. A truly worthless company.
