THE PROPERTY OVERVIEW
Professionally managed by North East Escapes, The Coach House is a beautifully designed four-bedroom stone-built conversion with views on the Northumberland Coast. Situated in the peaceful hamlet of Wandylaw, just a minute from the A1, this stylish holiday home provides an excellent base for exploring Northumberland and the coast. Comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests, the property boasts spacious interiors, modern amenities, and a charming blend of traditional and contemporary design, making it an ideal retreat for families or groups.

THE PROPERTY BREAKDOWN
The property layout is across two floors:

Ground Floor:
Kitchen – Fully equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher, and a stylish kitchen island with a breakfast bar. Exposed barn beams add to the property's character.
Lounge Room – two double sofas, two sofa chairs, a coffee table, TV, and a dining table with seating for 8 guests. Double French doors open onto the garden.
Bathroom – Shower, toilet, and washbasin.
Bedroom 1 – King-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, and drawers.
Bedroom 2 – King-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, drawers, and an en-suite bathroom featuring a bath, walk-in shower, washbasin, and toilet.

First Floor:
Bedroom 3 – King-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, drawers, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower-over-bath, washbasin, and toilet.
Bedroom 4 – King-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, drawers, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower-over-bath, washbasin, and toilet.

Outside:
Garden – A spacious fenced garden with a seating area and complete with views of the Northumberland Coast.
Parking – Two designated parking spaces on the driveway, with additional free parking available in the shared overflow parking area nearby.
Pets – Guests may bring up to 2 pets at £25 per pet, per stay. Pets must be added during checkout or later via the Guest Portal.

The Coach House is a thoughtfully designed stone-built conversion that seamlessly blends rustic charm with modern comfort. The spacious interiors are accentuated by exposed wooden beams, stylish furnishings, and large windows that allow for plenty of natural light and picturesque sea views.

With ample communal space, including a large lounge and a well-equipped kitchen, this holiday home is perfect for social gatherings or relaxing after a day of exploring. The en-suite bathrooms in three of the four bedrooms offer privacy and convenience, making it an excellent choice for larger groups.

Wandylaw is easily accessible, just minutes from the A1 between Alnwick and Bamburgh, offering an excellent base for exploring Northumberland. The historic seaside village of Bamburgh is less than a 15-minute drive away, where visitors can explore the iconic Bamburgh Castle, enjoy miles of golden beaches, and discover charming shops, pubs, and restaurants.

A short drive south leads to Alnwick, home to the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens, as well as the renowned Barter Books. For nature lovers, the stunning landscapes of the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park are just 20 minutes west. Seahouses, the gateway to the Farne Islands, is a mere 15-minute drive away, offering boat trips to see puffins, seals, and other wildlife. Further afield, Hadrian’s Wall and its historic Roman sites can be reached in under two hours.

A scenic coastal drive reveals a string of picturesque fishing villages, including Craster, Newton by the Sea, Alnmouth, and Amble, each with its unique charm and local delicacies.

We have just spent a long weekend at the Coach House with family, and we were all really impressed with everything. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The communication from the host, the quality of the property, cleanliness, space and comfort to name just a few. The location was brilliant, just a 15 min drive to reach Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses and Alnwick so it was a great central point all round. Everyone enjoyed their stay and we would definitely recommend this property and will return again in the future.

Positives: We arrived late in the evening but this wasn't a problem as we were able to check in easily ourselves. Property was very spacious, modern and clean. Wonderful views to the sea and if you are up early, you can see a fabulous sunrise. Negatives: The kitchen was quite cold and the main bedroom too warm. A light by the check in box would be useful too but if you have a phone with a light you can manage this ok.

Great communication before and during our stay. Access was easy, with most of the accommodation on the ground floor level.Being Northumberland in January, we didnt get to enjoy as much of the area as we should have liked but we were only there for a long weekend and a wedding so time was limited anyway.The house is well laid out and comfortable. Upstairs bedrooms having their own en-suites was useful, just beware of the sloped ceilings. Inevitable with such a property but something to consider for a longer stay.The enclosed garden was a bonus as we brought a small dog and she loved tearing around to burn off some energy.Overall, highly recommended host, property and area. We woll be back when we have more time and better weather.

This property was lovely - a couple of issues - water glass in bathroom was not clean from previous people and the controls on the shower could not be used from inside the shower - small points but all in all a lovely clean home - thank you so much

Comfortable, Spacious and Very clean property

Comfortable, spacious and very clean property. We often visit this area although usually bearded the coast. The Coach House is a good property for families - quiet location and it has a safe, enclosed garden. Unfortunately the main door from lounge to the garden was broken (sign on door not to open) which was frustrating as the other access was at the other end of the property. The kitchen was very spacious - strange not to have an integrated bin and a bigger fridge. Some more kitchen utensils - pans, oven trays etc - would be helpful but it is an excellent size. A car is essential.
