I would like to start by saying that this VRBO listing is misleading. Two items stand out. The photographs show two leather sofas. No such furniture is here. The sofas are old and made of fabric. The listing says ‘King’ bed. There is no king bed here. The bed in the master bedroom is a double. But worse, it is old, stained, and broken down. It sags at the side where people sit and provides a very uncomfortable sleep. We are very angry about this in particular. There is a baseboard in the dining room (front room) to the right of the fireplace that has come off the wall. There are gaps in the laminate flooring where dust and dirt accumulate. The washing machine had someone else’s lint in it. None of the cutlery matches and some of it is falling apart and rusting. We had hoped to get in a bit early, but two cleaning ladies were dragging their vacuum cleaner up the sidewalk to clean at 2 pm, when we were supposed to check in at 3 pm. There are different standards of clean. It did not meet ours. There was cat fur and stains on the vertical blinds. On the positive side, it is a walk to town location. We walked to the train station, the grocery and several restaurants. We feel as though we have been mislead.

We take all guest comments seriously and have investigated the points you raised. Following your feedback, we have arranged for the bed to be inspected and replaced where necessary to ensure future guests enjoy a comfortable stay. We have also reviewed the property’s inventory and maintenance items, including the cutlery and the loose skirting board, with our housekeeping and maintenance teams. Regarding the furnishings, the property has undergone some updates since the original photographs were taken, and we appreciate your comments as they have highlighted areas where our listing could be clearer. We are currently reviewing the photography and property description to ensure they accurately reflect the accommodation provided. Thank you again for your feedback, which helps us continue to improve the experience we provide for future guests.
