Super Apartment in Villa Vanissa is an airy duplex, half of a modern villa, set in a large garden and surrounded by nature. It is the ideal spot for friends and family who want fun in the sun and to explore Salento’s beautiful coastline.

The main living space is on the ground floor. It consists of an open-plan sitting room with a sofa and flat-screen TV, as well as a dining table for 6 people. The fitted kitchen is next to the dining table and is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, Nespresso coffee maker and fridge/freezer. A door opens out to the partly covered terrace overlooking the sea.

The back veranda is well-shaded and furnished with a table and chairs for meals al fresco, as well as sun loungers, a hammock and other seating. The garden beyond the terrace has been planted with olive trees and shrubs.

Bedroom 1: On the ground floor, this bedroom is furnished with a double bed. French windows lead out to the terrace and garden.

Location
The apartment is only 1500m from the sea. This stretch of coast is known for its wide, sandy beaches which slope gently into the Ionian Sea, making them ideal for children and older visitors.

For self-catering the town of Castrignano del Capo (8 minutes) has a weekly market (Thursday) where guests can find the freshest local ingredients. For other needs, there is a supermarket near by (8 minutes). The oldest part of the town, Borgo Terra, is made up of narrow lanes and alleys. Perfect for a stroll to discover the town’s history.

The apartment is 10 minutes from the town of Santa Maria di Leuca, at the southern tip of the Salento peninsula. The seafront is known for its lovely villas and elegant buildings whilst the Lungomare Cristofo Colombo is home to many tempting shops. There is also the 18th-century church of Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae which is at the very tip of Italy’s heel.

The historic town of Gallipoli (40 minutes) is a very popular tourist destination during the summer months. In Greek, Gallipoli means “beautiful city” and the town does not disappoint. The town’s ancient walls soar over the harbour and fishing port. There is a daily fish market where if you go early you can pick up the freshest catch of the day.

The closest airport is at Brindisi, a 1 hour and 30 minute drive.
