Corte Bell'Acqua is a historic Lombard Renaissance estate in Goito, in the province of Mantua, located on the southern outskirts of the city as you approach from Rivalta sul Mincio. It is one of the country residences that once belonged to the Gonzaga family of Mantua; they had the course of the Mincio River diverted so they could admire it right from their home. Situated in a very peaceful area, the windows are bathed in a sunrise that looks almost painted in the morning—a rare retreat characterized by relaxation and a unique sense of history. The villa, dating back to the 1500s, has been renovated and now boasts a swimming pool that is one of a kind in the area. The house is located on the first floor and consists of two enchanting bedrooms: one with a four-poster bed (which we call the “royal room”) and one with a round bed and a heart-shaped mirror (which we call the “lovers’ room”). Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower, washing machine, and dryer. Guests are welcome to use every area of the house on the first floor: including the porch, the pool, and access to the river from our private dock.
I live in this house with my family—my parents, my two children, and my three dogs—on the upper floor of the villa. We’re very sociable people and love sharing our home with travelers or families looking for a bit of relaxation in the countryside and who are passionate about historic sites. We love our home, and we think it’s wonderful to give others the chance to wake up to the sunrise over the Mincio River or enjoy an aperitif at sunset by this river that makes everything magical. I’m at your complete disposal for any advice about the area, whether it’s how to spend an afternoon enjoying a nice outing or how to end the evening at an excellent traditional restaurant.

The courtyard is strategically located in Mincio Park, adjacent to the bike path connecting Peschiera to Mantua, just 5 km from Mantua and 25 km from Peschiera del Garda and the Lake Garda parks, such as Gardaland, Movieland, Caneva World, and Parco Sigurtà. Getting Around We rent electric bicycles for cycling routes in the area, where you can explore the beautiful Mantua countryside and even reach the city itself.
