Retiro da Avó Lídia - Rural Tourism, in the peaceful village of Mendiga and surrounded by the stunning Serras de Aire e Candeeiros Nature Park, offers a stay focused on absolute privacy. Rented exclusively as a whole house (minimum 3 nights), it ensures your family or group enjoys the entire villa, garden, and terrace in complete independence, with no shared spaces.

The villa is fully air-conditioned and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. It features 4 cozy suites, each with a private bathroom. One is a charming duplex room with an integrated loft, perfect for older children. A baby cot or extra bed can be provided upon prior request.

Inside, cozy up by the traditional wood fireplace, connect with high-speed Wi-Fi, and cook in the fully equipped kitchen (fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, stovetop, coffee machine, and kettle). Outside, the spacious terrace offers panoramic mountain views, alongside free on-site parking.

This sanctuary is the perfect base to explore, close to the iconic Olhos de Água do Alviela river beach. To make your stay memorable, we organize guided mountain hikes and exclusive 4x4 SUV Jeep tours. Nearby, discover UNESCO World Heritage sites (Batalha and Alcobaça Monasteries, Convent of Christ), the Sanctuary of Fátima, and the Oeste Geopark.

Pets are welcome upon prior notice so we can prepare the space. To respect the mountain’s tranquil nature, outdoor quiet hours start at 10:00 PM—though you are warmly invited to continue socializing inside. A shuttle service from Lisbon Airport (101 km) is available for an additional fee.
