The apartment is located in a building without an elevator, but the short and comfortable staircase leading to the first-floor home is no major obstacle for a pleasant stay. It is situated in the historic center of Zumaia.



In coastal Basque dialects, Taosa refers to the dense mist or fog that rolls in from the Cantabrian Sea and settles over the coast. This word showcases the vitality of the local Basque language: it’s not just a weather phenomenon, but also a cultural symbol adopted by a former nightclub, a music band, a surf shop, a tavern, and now, this traditional home that immerses you in the maritime soul of Zumaia.



Located in Zunbilo street, that doesn’t refer to a specific object or place; rather, it's a historical-phonetic transformation of a person’s name: Juan Billo, a well-known local resident. His fame was such that the street where he lived eventually became known as Zunbilo Street.



The apartment accommodates five guests in three spacious, street-facing bedrooms: two with double beds and one with bunk beds, all equipped with wardrobes. It includes two bathrooms—one with a shower and the other with a bathtub. The decoration evokes the town's past, featuring sandstone wall details, solid wood structure elements, old local photos, and marine-style touches in white tones that give the home a bright and historical feel.



There is a large open-plan living area with a vintage vibe, a velvet sofa, and elegant wooden furniture, flowing into a fully equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances, utensils, and cookware for comfortable cooking.



A fantastic base to experience Zumaia's culture, language, and lifestyle, the apartment is located right in the old town—next to the town hall, the church, the famous fountain from Ocho apellidos vascos, the market square, and a nearby supermarket. The inclusion of a large, covered and reserved garage space in the price ensures maximum convenience.



Zumaia is perfect not only for exploring its beaches and Flysch trails but also as a base to discover the natural beauty of the Basque coastline and the culinary and cultural offerings of nearby cities—all less than an hour’s drive away. Don't miss the nearby inland towns either: Azpeitia (Basque Railway Museum, Sanctuary of Loyola), Zestoa (Ekain caves, Lili Palace), and Azkoitia, known as the cradle of Basque pelota, with its tower houses and noble mansions.
