Amazing Country Get-a-way

Great Place

This property was awesome. Everything was perfect, you can tell that the owners put in a ton of work keeping the placeWe in top shape. We really enjoyed watching the squirrels and duck come to the feeder each morning. Highly recommend this place.

Comforable stay!

We found this property to be very comfortable and peaceful. It is on a private dirt road near the owner's house. The suite is very clean, is portrayed accurately in the listing, and offers a good night's rest.

Great country home

We loved our fall weekend in the country at this lovely home. The home was spotless and well-appointed for our every comfort. Though they live on the property, we had complete privacy the entire time. The hosts were very accommodating and attentive to every need. The peace and tranquility was stunning! Perfectly cozy!

What a lovely little cabin. My teammates and I were in town for the Davy Crockett Classic bicycle race and discovered this adorable little cabin. It was so nice to come home after a hard day racing to a warm, cozy home. Also, that has to be the most comfortable vacation rental bed I've ever slept in!!! The property is perfect for a couple's getaway or three girls who don't mind sharing space. Bill was even nice enough to bring us extra blankets, sheets, and pillows once he heard there would be three of us staying. I'll definitely be staying here when the races come around again next year!

Nice place!

A friend and I shared this quaint guest house while attending a birthday party in Crockett. Very nice place just outside Crockett. Place was roomy, bed was comfortable. Comes with a small kitchen as well. A good value for the money. The only issue we had was an odor that we had to adjust to. Probably could be fixed with white vinegar. But overall, I would recommend this place. Especially over the hotels in the area, which are very expensive and not real nice. Thanks Bill for sharing your guest house!

Great Stay

Nice private hideaway in the pines. Enjoyed having a place to ourselves, yet managers close by. Wonderful accommodations and great communication.

An Oasis in the Country

It really is a nice property in the country. The place was clean and well decorated with modern appliances in the kitchen too. It’s relaxing to stay in a place where you feel everything is taken care of and you can feel comfortable. This is certainly the place to do that when you need a place to stay and are headed in that direction.

Relaxing Get-away

The tall trees, pond and nicely mowed grass were picturesque. The tranquility and quietness created a welcome rest from noisy city life. We used this as a 'home-base' to visit neighboring places and towns: Texas State RR, Mission Tejas State Park, Davy Crockett National Forest, Huntsville and Nacogdoches).

Little house in the country

Everything was as we expected. Smooth check in and check out. It was a very quiet, and we never heard or saw anyone else. It was a great place to stay as we traveled around east Texas.

Clean quiet place out in the country.

My husband stayed here while visiting family in town. It was a nice clean place out in the country. Had plenty room for two people. The owners were very friendly.

Perfect little get away

We were looking for a place to stay while Texas was covered with snow and ice. We had no power, heat, or water -- like many Texans in the middle of Febrary. This place was perfect -- high speed wifi allowed me to keep on working, neighborhood/area was serene, and the hosts were there to help but weren't bothersome (we hope we weren't to them as well). If you want to get away to the country -- 2 hrs from Dallas -- for some peace and quiet, but still connected through the internet, this is the place to go. Crockett has some great restaurants (Fowler's is the best steak we've ever had!) and Wal-Mart and HEB -- all within a 10 minute drive. This is a must stay place and we'll be back.

We love staying at this property. We've stayed in two super cute apartments, which were absolutely delightful. As soon as it isn't so hot, I'm bringing my fishing pole.

Great Experience

Our stay was marvelous. Would definitely consider returning and have already recommended it to friends. Only thing that could have made it better would have been a sheltered spot to sit outside.

Cutest Apartment Ever!

Excellent experience! Bill was delightful and provided everything we needed. The rainfall shower was a rare treat and there was a shower curtain. All in all the apartment was a delight and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful country escape

I have stayed at vrbo properties before but this was my first time booking for myself. The ease of the process was comforting. Mr. Stanley was delightful to speak with and I wish I could have met him face-to-face. Unfortunately, I arrived quite late and left early due to my travel schedule so meeting the owners wasn't possible. The property was exactly as listed and in z beautiful country setting. So quiet and relaxing. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Bill was great and very friendly. He made you feel at home.

I didn’t stay in the place I reserved in the picture. Bill ask me to switch places due to a previous tenant staying there. I had no problem with that. The place we stayed in was even better. You had a view of the ranch and small pawn. I enjoyed the ducks. The shower head need to be positioned in another angle. It was directly over your head. It was difficult taking a shower unless you wanted to wash your hair. Also needed to have a shower curtain to keep the floor from getting wet. The love seat with 2 recliners should be positioned in front of the television. A little difficult for one person to see the television. Overall this was a great place. We’re planning on going back.
