Step into a storybook. The Buttoned Hearth is a lovingly restored, two-bedroom cottage filled with unique character and personal touches that reflect a simpler, slower pace of life. Designed for comfort and charm in equal measure, it’s the perfect base for couples, solo travellers, or small families (sleeps 4) looking to relax, unwind, and explore.
The interiors are cosy and eclectic, with vintage furniture, soft lighting, and thoughtful details that make the space feel like a home - buttons in jars, well-loved books, board games, and mismatched crockery that spark a sense of nostalgia.

The heart of the cottage is the open hearth. On a rainy day or cool evening, light the fire, pour a glass of wine or a cup of tea, and settle into a good book or quiet conversation. We provide a starter log pack for every stay, and additional logs are available for a small fee via an honesty box- or can be easily picked up at local supermarkets like Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, or B&Q.

• Camera disclosure: We have one outdoor security camera overlooking the front patio for your safety and ours. It does not record audio and does not point into the house.
• Quiet village setting: Please respect our lovely neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum after 10pm.
