A truly traditional Portuguese villa, Monte Domingos Simões spans two adjoining properties and offers 6 bedrooms (sleeping up to 12 guests) and 4 bathrooms, making it a great option for families or groups seeking an authentic Algarve experience.
Main House
Upon entering, you’ll find a practical laundry area equipped with a washing machine, iron and ironing board. A bright bathroom is located nearby, featuring a small bathtub with shower over (accessed via two steps), a toilet, bidet and double sink.
Nine steps lead up to two cosy bedrooms, each furnished with twin beds, wardrobes and air conditioning. True to the villa’s traditional layout, these rooms have small, high-set windows.
Five steps down from the entrance is the rustic, authentically Portuguese kitchen. Though windowless, it is well equipped with a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, and microwave.
The split-level living/dining area reflects the character of the property, complete with a feature fireplace, bamboo ceiling, comfortable seating, TV and a large dining table with seating for eight. This room has two small windows and no air conditioning and is in keeping with the home’s original style.
The master bedroom offers a double bed, generous wardrobe space and a small window overlooking the pool. It also features an en-suite bathroom with a bath/shower, sink, toilet and bidet.
A further twin bedroom overlooks the pool and there is a separate shower room with walk-in cubicle and toilet. Both these bedrooms maintain the villa’s traditional charm and do not have air conditioning.
Second House
Accessed independently and down four steps from the main house, this annexe includes a bathroom with corner bath/shower, double sink, toilet and bidet.
Two additional bedrooms—one twin and one double—both have air conditioning, wardrobes and small windows. A compact sitting area connects these rooms and opens directly onto the pool terrace.
Outdoor Areas
The exterior spaces are full of rustic Portuguese character, with local fruit trees, mature shrubs and a lovely private swimming pool that is securely gated, making it ideal for families with younger children. A dining area, charcoal BBQ and ample parking behind gated access all add to the property’s convenience.
Please note: the road outside the villa is a fairly busy main road.
The villa provides Wi-Fi and a safe.
Important Note:
This is a very traditional Portuguese property, featuring thick walls, small windows and a layout typical of older Algarve homes.
All reservations include a full clean upon departure.
If your reservation is for 12 nights or more, then a change of bed sheets and towels mid-stay is also included.
If you wish you can book a towel change mid-stay with small light cleaning service for an additional cost of 50 Euros per request.
This is a self-catering property. We do not provide any cleaning products except for a small starter pack, therefore it is your responsibility to purchase or bring these items. We will provide toilet rolls for each toilet but these are not replenished during your stay.
Please note, we do not accept reservations from groups aged under 18. For reservations from people aged 18 to 24 years, a 200 Euro security deposit each person will be payable in cash at check in. This would be refunded after an inspection and cleaning of the villa, providing everything was Ok, up until 10 days after check out via bank transfer.
Tourist taxes payable locally could apply.
