It is an ideal retreat for couples eager to explore the rich heritage and natural beauty of the region, perfectly located between Hadrian's Wall (14 miles) and the Lake District (within 20 miles). Wetheral itself offers a number of scenic walks. Take in the stunning views from the viaduct before descending the famous ’99 steps’ for a stroll along the River Eden towards Wetheral Woods. Along the way, look out for the spectacular Cascade at Corby Castle before exploring Constantine's Cells in the heart of the woods. The historic border city of Carlisle is only 3 miles away.
