This cheerful two-bedroom cottage is located on a quiet residential street in Southwold, Suffolk. It’s an idyllic base for a small family wanting easy access to both the town and the beach.
After a day on the beach step straight into the lounge and relax on the comfortable sofas. Drenched in natural light from the beautiful sash window, it’s the perfect room to socialise in, watch a film or snuggle up in front of the wood burner. Nautical tones and seaside decor sweep through to the dining room where meals can be enjoyed at the family table with seating for four people. A neat galley kitchen leads off from here and is kitted-out with everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. Come slumber time, head upstairs to the first floor where you’ll find two delightful bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king-size bed with wardrobe space and vanity area while the second bedroom has a loft bed and ladder. Children will love climbing up the ladder to get into the double bed. A family bathroom is also located on this floor and is accessed via the second bedroom. In the morning, step into the yard, that's shared with the neighbours, and enjoy a quiet coffee in the morning sunshine.
Southwold’s marketplace is just 175 yards from the property and offers an excellent range of small shops selling local produce. For a day at the beach, grab your swim things and head 0.5 miles to Southwold Beach where you can swim in the sea. Those seeking more activity can take the footpath from the property to Southwold’s lighthouse (0.5 miles). Climb the winding staircase and afterwards stroll along the seafront to Southwold’s working harbour where you can watch the fishermen unloading their boats.
