Surrounded by scenic farmland, the village of Welton le Marsh is well-positioned for those wishing to explore the Lincolnshire countryside and coastline. Just 6 miles to the west, historic market town Spilsby has a host of independent stores where you can stock up on self-catering essentials, while less than 10 miles east, Skegness offers traditional seaside attractions to suit all ages. More family fun awaits at the Wolds Wildlife Park (15 miles), while Chapel St Leonards (11 miles) boasts a wide, sandy beach and is home to the spectacular North Sea Observatory – the only purpose-built marine observatory in the UK. Walkers will love the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape, where trails pass through rolling hills and hidden valleys. For a longer hike, follow the Viking Way between Horncastle (14.5 miles) and Woodhall Spa (21 miles).
